The bonus for getting a Star KO on all of the opposing team's members is called "Rocket KO". This may be a reference to Team Rocket from the Pokemon TV show, as they are commonly seen blasting off into the sky, punctuated by a star glint.

Orcan' and 'Skullian' from Sonic Colors, the extra boss theme 'Boss - Big Swell' from Sonic Rush Adventure, and 'Cool Edge Day' from Sonic Unleashed, just to name a few.

This is foreshadowing later in the game Spoiler:where you play as Ellie in a snowy forest hunting a deer, which is the only other time in the game you don't play as Joel.

Attachment A joke existed in early versions of the game when Guybrush would look at the statue in the voodoo shop. When the player would use the "Look At" command on the statue, Guybrush would respond, "Looks like an emaciated Charles Atlas." LucasArts received a cease and desist letter because of this joke, and it was removed from later versions of the game.

Attachment Early in development, Elaine was simply known as The Governor. While writing the wedding scene, Dave Grossman wanted to insert a joke where Guybrush shouts "Elaine!" as a reference to The Graduate. Ron Gilbert, the game's director, liked the joke, and her name became Elaine.

In the Arcade version of Bomb Jack, the song "Lady Madonna" by The Beatles can be heard playing during the second round. The song was licensed for Bomb Jack, however in later ports and re-releases the game's soundtrack was replaced.
