Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition
1
If the player attempts to enter the Safari Zone without sufficient money to enter enough times, the worker who lets you in will take pity and allow you to enter with one Safari Ball. This was not an interaction in Pokemon Red & Blue and exists as a way to prevent the player from progressing in the game as a result of being unable to acquire enough money to get HM03 Surf, which is found in the park.

Donkey Kong Land

Within the game's coding is a string under the name "PFLOYD" that maintains the integrity of the game's save files. This string appears in the English and Japanese ROMS under the offset 6F7A and needs to be present at AA00, AA40, and AA80 in RAM (along with two checksums) in order for save files to remain functional; if the string is not present in one of these RAM files, the corresponding save file will be wiped, even if the two checksums are cleared.

The name of the string, "PFLOYD", appears to be a reference to the British progressive rock band Pink Floyd, who was active from 1965 to 1996, disbanding just a year after Donkey Kong Land's release.
Treasure Master

As a way of preventing the use of a cheat device like Game Genie, additional code was put in place to detect one. If the system discovers any sort of leftover data in its RAM and VRAM, the game will lock-up and display a gray screen. This was done due to the game being released as part of a contest run by MTV.
Animal Crossing: Wild World
1
Within the game's code are items colloquially known as "seeds" (their real names in the game's internal memory consist of garbled data) that spawn landscape objects (such as trees, rocks, or buildings) when dropped. The game uses these items to implement the layout of each randomly generated town.

Through cheating, it is possible to place these "seeds" in the player's inventory and spawn landscape features as they please, though they will not appear until the player has entered and exited a building. Placing these objects is irreversible, and it is possible to softlock or brick the game if they are dropped in excess or otherwise abused.
Resident Evil 4

Attachment Though largely unused in-game, the characters Hunnigan and Mike have complete character models that can only be seen through camera hacks.

Hunnigan appears in-game during her radio conversations with Leon, where only her head and shoulders are visible. However, moving the camera reveals that these conversation are simply full character models of Leon and Hunnigan sitting next to each other behind a radio texture. Additionally, Hunnigan's model contains multiple layers of clothing, including a layer for both her blazer and blouse. Digging through the game's files also reveals a texture for a white blouse with a black bra and skin clearly visible underneath it.

Likewise, Leon's pilot Mike is never seen outside of his helicopter in-game. Moving the camera into the helicopter during his scenes, however, reveals a full character model inside of the cockpit. Oddly, the character model has yellow eyes, a trait usually associated with the game's monsters.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
1
In order to gain access to the Master Sword, the player only needs to know the Song of Time. This is because the game's flags assume that, as the player knows and can play the Song of Time, then the player will have triggered the following:

- Gotten the Ocarina of Time
- Have all three spiritual stones

The game assumes these things because the player needs to have all 3 of the spiritual stones to trigger the cutscene in which they learn the Song of Time (which is also where the player obtains the Ocarina of Time). When playing the Song of Time, the game assumes that the player already has them.

This also extends to the Medallions as well. In order to trigger the cutscene in which Zelda gives the player the Light Arrows, as well as access to Ganon's Castle, the game only checks for the Shadow and Spirit Medallion. Even if one uses a cheat device/debug menu to remove the Light Medallion from Link's inventory it will still play the cutscene. This works because much like the Door of Time opening the game assumes things. In this instance the game assumes that the player:

- Have the Light Medallion.
- Obtained the Forest, Fire, and Water Medallion.
-Triggered the Nocturne of Shadow obtain cutscene.

The reason the games assumes these things are:

- The player is unavoidably given the Light Medallion in a cutscene, so the game has no need to check for it.
- In order to get the Shadow Medallion, the player would need to have triggered the Nocturne of Shadow cutscene, as well as having obtained the Forest, Fire and Water Medallions to trigger that cutscene, so the game doesn't check for them, as the game assumes that, as the player has the Shadow Medallion, you must have gotten them.

Since the Spirit Medallion isn't tied to getting another Medallion, or forcibly given to the player, the game also checks for it as well.
