No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
1
According to a 2009 interview with series creator SUDA51, this game was originally meant to be the last to feature Travis Touchdown as the series protagonist. However, due to the delayed production of subsequent entries Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes and No More Heroes III, he changed his mind, instead wishing to focus on how much older Travis had become since the second game.

The movie would have been based on the then recent Legend of Spyro trilogy, and was originally going to be released around Christmas 2009, but was later pushed back to a different release date and was eventually cancelled. Daniel Altiere, who was a writer on the movie, stated that the movie was officially cancelled due to decisions made by ##Activision## to go in a different direction with the Spyro series, likely making reference to the Skylanders series.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Crossroads of Time
1
According to Maurice Molyneaux, the designer and writer for the initial Genesis version of the game, the game went through a number of setbacks, including having to make a game proposal six weeks before the pilot episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine aired, Paramount's licensing and legal department sending "corrections" that were actually often incorrect, Paramount signing off on ideas and then reversing their statements weeks later, and working with a foreign team of developers (##Novatrade International##, based in Budapest, Hungary) who didn't fully understand the Star Trek series.

On the SNES version of the game, Maurice says "The Super Nintendo version was a "port" of the Genesis version, and a very poor port at that! My apologies to anyone who played it!"
Samurai Warriors 4

Attachment On the back of the game's US box, developer Chris Sawyer can be seen riding a real roller coaster. Drakengard 3

System Shock
1
Attachment A port of the game for the Genesis was pitched. In the pitch to the series publisher Origin, it estimates the budget for the port to be $20,000 with a projected release on Q2 (September 1994). The only problem was that the game's developer didn't have any free personnel to start on it and that they would need to have an outside development studio to do it which they would have no track record with.
Hyrule Warriors
1
When Omega Force began making the game, it contained many core Zelda elements such as puzzle solving and an RPG approach. Shigeru Miyamoto intervened at this point, saying "this doesn't feel like a cross-IP game, this is more just like a Zelda game" and that if it was just going to feel like a Zelda game, there was no point in doing a cross-collaboration.
Hyrule Warriors
1
##Tecmo Koei## previously developed multiple games in which they incorporate other IPs into the realm of Dynasty Warriors, such as One Piece: Pirate Warriors. Coincidentally, Tecmo Koei approached ##Nintendo## about creating a Zelda version of Dynasty Warriors just as Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma was playing one of the previous Dynasty Warriors IP crossover titles. Aonuma was himself considering the potential of a Zelda game with Dynasty Warriors style gameplay at this time.
Monster Party
1
Attachment The game's prototype, entitled "Parody World: Monster Party", vastly differs from the final game graphically. Most notably, the title screen featured blood instead of green slime, and many of the enemies and bosses were originally parodies of copyrighted movie characters or mythological creatures:
• The man-eating plant was originally Audrey II from the 1982 musical "Little Shop of Horrors" and shot quarter notes instead of bubbles.
• The Jack-O-Lantern was originally Caesar from the "Planet of the Apes" film series, and the background of the fight featured the famed image of the destroyed Statue of Liberty from the original 1968 film.
• The gorgon snake was originally a humanoid, most likely Medusa.
• The ghost man was originally a mummy.
• The giant spider was originally the titular antagonist of the 1982 film "The Thing".
• The giant cat-in-a-box was originally a gremlin from the 1984 film "Gremlins".
• The grim reaper was originally an alien robot resembling a Xenomorph from the "Alien" franchise.
• The vampire ghoul bore more of a resemblance to a stereotypical vampire.
• The projectiles released by the eggs in Round 2 were originally Facehuggers from the "Alien" franchise.
• The baseball catcher enemy was originally Jason Voorhees from the "Friday the 13th" franchise.
• The ghosts were originally "jiangshi": Chinese hopping vampires.

These graphical aspects were mainly changed both due to Nintendo of America's stringent censorship policy and the risk of copyright lawsuits, due to the United States' more strict copyright laws compared to Japan.
