Attachment In the Japanese version, it's possible to earn enough money to enter the ZUUL Building early by buying and selling the Ghost Alarm over and over again as its purchase price is lower than its resale value. This glitch is fixed in the International Release.

The Dragon Punch combo weapon is a reference the Street Fighter character Ryu, specifically his special move, Shoryuken. When used, Nick will even shout the move's name out loud, similar to Ryu.

A thief girl can be found in a cave, and when spoken to will say "How about we keep this a secret to everybody?" This is a reference to the iconic phrase "It's a secret to everybody" found in the original Legend of Zelda.

Sherry's letter to Claire mentions a person named "Ronny" who would be excited to see Claire. This, however, is a mistranslation as the name in the original Japanese version is "Rani-chan". This is most likely referring to Rani Chawla, from the CG movie Resident Evil Degeneration, who already has ties to Claire.
Resident Evil 6

In the original Japanese release, several references to the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the United States, and the war on terror, were included in Adam Benford's letter to Leon Kennedy regarding the foundation of the Division of Security Operations. When localized, these references were removed.
Breath of Fire

Karn, whose name was Danc in the Japanese version, received a "race-lift" in the overseas release, going from a pale, almost ash-grey skin-tone to vaguely Arabian-looking. Given that the face portrait seems to be done in the stereotypical (and culturally offensive in the west) "Blackface"-style, it isn't too surprising this was changed.
Final Fantasy IV

Attachment While Kain cannot cast any magic in Final Fantasy IV, the data in the SNES version contains a two-frame animated sprite for Kain casting spells, as all other spellcasters have. The Final Fantasy IV Settei Shiryou Shuu shows a screenshot of Kain with a White Magic command, and there is an unused empty magic spell list that, based on the internal character order, was intended for him.

There is an unused 2-handed Ragnarok/Crystal in the item list within the game's data. It does not have a sword icon, but is named "None" (or "Spare" in the original Japanese version). If force-equipped to a character with a cheating device, its weapon graphic is the same as the Ragnarok sword and its attack and sound effect are also the same. It also has the same Holy attribute with an attack power of 200, the same attack power as the single-handed Ragnarok. The only difference is that it cannot be equipped by anyone. This sword is by no means obtainable in any version of the game, and it is found in all versions of Final Fantasy IV, including Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.

During the events of Cloud's flashback to Nibelheim, the player can go into Tifa's house. Tifa isn't home, but the player still has the ability to explore her entire house. If the player interacts with the wardrobe in Tifa's room, they will find a joke item called the "Orthopaedic Underwear." The Tifa listening to the story in the present will scold Cloud for joking whilst he is retelling his story.

Dr. Robotnik was created to be the opposite of Sonic, and to be the bad guy. During the development of the game, there was a growing debate between developers and environmentalists, and Robotnik was created to represent machinery and development, as apposed to Sonic, who represented the environment.

His egg shaped redesign came from Naoto Ōshima wanting to give the characters designs that were easy enough for kids to draw.
Silent Hill

Due to the lack of processing power on the PlayStation for an open-world map, the developers used the fog to allow the game to load objects as the player approached them.

Attachment In one of the conversations between Ash, Brock and Claptrap, they will talk about the planet Pandora from the Borderlands series. During the conversation they'll say:

Brock: Yeah, about that. I always heard that Pandora was some sort of lush jungle paradise.
Ash: Yeah, me too. What happened, did you guys run out of the, what was it - Cantgetium?
Brock: Nah, I think it was called "Macguffinite."
Claptrap: Ha. Ha. Very funny. Look, MY Pandora was first, got it?
Ash: All right, all right. Jeez. One question, though.
Claptrap: What?
Ash: What's James Cameron really like?
Claptrap: @#$% you.

This is a reference to the 2009 film Avatar by James Cameron which also features a planet named Pandora and contains the valuable mineral "unobtanium".

The Color Dungeon in the DX re-release is the only location in the game where green Rupees are found. These are worth five Rupees each, while blue Rupees, the only color found elsewhere (i.e. in all locations present in the original version of the game), are worth one. This is a reversal of the values of green and blue Rupees found in most other games in the series.
