Secret of Evermore
1
Attachment In the starting town of Podunk, a "Doughead Software" store can be seen in the background. This appears to be a nod to both Egghead Software, a computer software retail company from 1984-2001, as well as the executive producer (and Lode Runner creator) Doug Smith.

Doug Smith may also be credited with the conception of Secret of Evermore, according to lead programmer Brian Fehdrau, who states that Squaresoft hired Smith based on his suggestion for an RPG with an "American-motif." Squaresoft liked this idea, and told the development team to make "a game like [Secret of Mana] with western themes."
Mortal Kombat: Deception

Many of the people in the Netherrealm and the Chaosrealm sound like they're talking gibberish, but are actually speaking backwards. In fact, the actual spoken quote for each person does not match what is being said. Examples of what some of these characters are saying include (but not limited to):

"There are many realms,"

"I am talking backwards - spooky, isn't it?"

"Parents of the world, there is no satanic messages hidden within the backward speech of Mortal Kombat."

"John Vogel is a genius."

John Vogel is a Mortal Kombat developer.
Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories

Defeating Laharl in the battle against him during the story mode, before he breaks Rozalin's seal, awards you with a special cutscene and actually ends your game.
Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories

Attachment You can unlock alternate "dark" versions of the mission maps in Disgaea 2. To do this you have to find the 5 hidden switches from Holt Village, after which a message saying "A dark shadow looms over Holt Village" appears. You are then given the option to battle the dimension guide's shadow version. Defeat her and she will act as your guide to the Dark World.
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
1
Attachment The house Luigi lives in is actually the Rank D house built for him at the end of the first game.
Fallout
1
Attachment There is a random encounter in Fallout called "Unusual Call box" in which the player will stumble upon a blue, British police box. This is a reference to "Doctor Who", specifically its TARDIS.

Attachment In the middle of the game, you have a conversation with Marin. She says that her dream is to fly away from the island. At the end of the game (Spoiler:after you wake up the Wind Fish and the island disappears), if you haven't lost any lives, you can see either Marin's sprite with wings (original) or a portrait of Marin that dissolves to reveal a seagull behind it (DX Remake). This hints that Marin was able to escape the island and got her wish to fly away.
Kirby's Return to Dream Land
1
The Instant Mega Blast uses the same key combination as Street Fighter's Hadouken, likely meant as a tribute to the series.
Assassin's Creed
1
Attachment On various buildings around the world, there is an arrangement of windows designed to look like the front of Optimus Prime in truck form.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Attachment "The Plunger Room of Death" is a small area unmarked on the Pip-Boy world map. It is located South of the Chryslus Building, and East of Farragut West Metro Station. The entrance is a door underneath an intact bridge. Inside are dozens of toilet plungers and bloody hand prints on the walls.
Saints Row 2
1
Attachment The Ultor name and logo was first used in Volition's first-person shooter Red Faction. It is likely that this is not a coincidence, and it is considered that these two companies are the same group. Spoiler:Toward the end of the game, the player will even comment "you can go to Mars for all I care," referencing the future events that occur with the company in Red Faction.

Anarchy Reigns

Attachment There's a cutscene in which Jack and Max are fighting and for a moment the game cuts to a strict black and white (with a little red) color palette. This is a reference to the game's spiritual predecessor, MadWorld.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations
1
Attachment In Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, if you enter Free Battle mode, select "Versus Battle", select the "1P vs. 2P" option, complete one match with supports, go back to the Free Battle mode selection screen, select Training mode, press B (or circle for PS3) on a support-only slot, you will be able to play as them. They have no Awakenings, B (or circle) combos, or voices and can only use their normal jutsu, powered chakra shurikens, normal dash, guarding, and normal walking. Attempting to do a side ninja dash (Left or Right on the Analog Stick and double A or X) will lock up your player unless you press your D-pad either left or right. Even though they are in an unplayable state, it suggests that all of the support-only characters were going to be fully playable since under normal circumstances support-only characters don't use their walking animations.
Kid Icarus: Uprising
1
The Idol for the Fairy Orbitars reads "Tired of pixies asking you to listen?" This is a reference to Navi from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Demon's Souls

Though difficult, it is possible to defeat the Vanguard at the end of the tutorial stage. Doing so will lead the player to a room within the Dragon God's lair in the Stonefang Mine, where several Grasses and Stones lay as a reward. However, after going as far as they can a cutscene ensues where the Dragon God kills the player in one blow, setting in motion the events that would have happened by dying at the Vanguard's hands instead.
Fire Emblem: Awakening
1
In Inigo's paralogue, Inigo nicknames a local village girl "Buttercup." This is a reference to the Princess Bride's Buttercup and Inigo Montoya.
Pokémon Puzzle League
1
Attachment Hidden inside the code are two unused voice clips. They are presumably from staff issuing a little message to loved ones, as one is in Japanese and reads "Yumi-chan, I love you" and the other reads "I love you Liz."
Secret of Evermore
1
Attachment If the player waits for several minutes after "THE END" appears in the credits, an additional scene is shown wherein Professor Ruffleburg approaches a docile Carltron and says, "That's a good robot, Carltron. Dust, dust. Clean, clean. And no more plans for world domination, OK? Good." After Professor Ruffleburg leaves, Carltron turns to the camera with an evil grin. This is followed with a teasing, "THE END?"
