Attachment The game started off as a project called "Seiken Densetsu: The Emergence of Excalibur" and was planned to be released in 1987 for the Famicom Disk System on 5 Disks, which would've been the biggest 8-bit game ever made. However resources were moved to focus on games for the Game Boy to which the project was canceled with Square giving refunds to all who had pre-ordered it. The Seiken Densetsu name was later reused for another game which was in development called Gemma Knights which would become Final Fantasy Adventure.

One of Steven Ogg's influences when he was portraying Treavor Philips in the game was actor Tom Hardy; specifically Hardy's performance in the 2008 film Bronson.

"He was able to walk that line of psychopath and entertainer while maintaining his sense of humor in some pretty dark places. I'm always inspired by intensity and those that take great pride in what they do - be it an actor, painter, musician, writer, or arborist."

As well as some music which Ogg would listen to, to help imagine Treavor.

Attachment In Ermac and Sindel's endings, Kitana is shown as looking like Mileena's primary costume, but pallette-swapped with blue instead of pink. The reason Kitana has a blue version of Mileena's outfit is because she was originally going to be playable in the game, but was replaced by Jade because the creators wanted to bring back older characters.

There is an unused Miracle called "Escape Death" in the game's files that acts as a Rare Ring of Sacrifice, letting the player die, but also keep all of their souls and humanity.
