All of the regular 'Shu' characters (Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei) are fought at the Chang Ban stage. This is fitting, as each of them performed an act of valor at the actual historic battle which took place there:
• Zhao Yun rode behind enemy lines to rescue Liu Bei's family.
• Zhang Fei halted Cao Cao's army at the Changban bridge with a ferocious display.
• Guan Yu led an ambush of Cao Cao's forces to slow down their pursuit.

After the release of the game, the animal rights group PETA created a website and Flash game called "Mario Kills Tanooki." The game involves a skinless raccoon dog chasing Mario, who is wearing the suit. According to Eurogamer, Nintendo later made a statement saying:

"Mario often takes the appearance of certain animals and objects in his games. These have included a frog, a penguin, a balloon, and even a metallic version of himself. These lighthearted and whimsical transformations give Mario different abilities and make his games fun to play. The different forms that Mario takes make no statement beyond the games themselves."

PETA later stated that the game was "tongue-in-cheek", and intended to draw attention to real issues.

Despite the 50,000 downloads, Nintendo of Australia later took it down and sued James in court for copyright infringement on February 6, 2010. He was forced to pay AU$1.5 million.

Crash Bandicoot
1
According to director Jason Rubin, Crash Bandicoot utilized a system of dynamic difficulty, making various tweaks based on how well or how poorly the player was doing. Many of these tweaks were made to facilitate more inexperienced players, such as providing more lives and Wumpa Fruit to players running low on lives, giving Aku-Aku Masks after losing 5 lives, and slowing down boulders with each lost life.
Platform: MSX

Attachment Miner Machine is the only Finnish game ever released internationally on the MSX. Astonishingly, this was done without any permission or knowledge from its developers whatsoever. The French publishing house Eaglesoft first released their own copy of the game without ever contacting the developers. Spanish developer System 4 then took the Eaglesoft release and published it with slightly altered cover art. Finally, it was featured in a compilation called "30 MSX Hits" from Premium III.

It wasn't until 2005, 17 years after the game's original release, that the developers found out about this. Neither developer ever received any royalties for their copied games.
