Attachment The Pills that can be seen at the reception desk (the blue pills in the bottle) are a real type of drug called Diazepam which is used to treat anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, seizures, muscle spasms, restless legs syndrome, alcohol withdrawal, benzodiazepine withdrawal, opiate withdrawal syndrome and Ménière's disease. It may also be used before certain medical procedures to reduce tension and anxiety, and in some surgical procedures to induce amnesia.

In the PC version of the game, after obtaining 100% completion, it's possible to open a portal on the side of Space Mountain where a cave can be seen. To open the portal, the player must type in the code "sdreams". Inside the portal are LEGO Minifigure versions of most of the development team that worked on the game at Silicon Dreams.

The game was later adapted into a two-part OVA (Original Video Animation) special released onto 2 VHS tapes, dubbed as "Official Visual Guides" featuring a full voice cast and original soundtrack. Later the anime special was turned into a two-part game for the Bandai Playdia as an interactive FMV game featuring new scenes and alternate paths and endings. The special would later be remade and released alongside Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2.

For a while outside of Japan, a common misconception was that fans believed the two-part animated special and the Playdia game were the same with the scenes thought to be from the latter.

Attachment The Old Man Winter Plasmid used in the "Burial At Sea" DLC was created by Joe Trinder. He posted the design on the game's official forums. Trinder's design was immediately praised by other fans, quickly gaining attention on Reddit and even earning the approval of BioShock creator Ken Levine. Within a day, Irrational contacted Trinder and asked for permission to publish the poster on their Facebook page. A month later, the team bought the design from Trinder, and told him they planned to use it in the game. His initial version was for a Vigor, but it was changed into a plasmid to fit with the game's DLC.

The coworker was wearing a sweatshirt with a hood and had his hands in his pockets. He was listening to his Walkman and was walking in a "cool way."

There was code hidden in the game which allowed the developers to track every IP who had pirated a copy. It was reported that 10.1 million people had illegally cracked the game, one of which was from inside the Vatican. China was reported to have done the most, followed by Turkey and Portugal.

Attachment Apart from video games, in Japan, SEGA also runs a number of restaurants, a couple of which are "Bee" darts and dining establishments. In 2013, a series of restaurants including ones run by SEGA were embroiled in a scandal after deceiving customers by claiming to have used high quality ingredients in their food when in fact they were using cheap ones, and charging high prices for them. SEGA issued an apology promising customers that it wouldn't happen again.

According to an "Iwata Asks" interview, the reduction of Mr. Resetti's duties to an optional event (where they could only see him by developing the Reset Surveillance Center, which only appears as a Public Works Project after resetting the game once) was not only to mirror the Japanese government's budget revisions, but also because Resetti was considered annoying by many players, and made younger ones cry on some occasions. Yet, he still appeared due to the amount of positive attention towards him from the fanbase.
