Scott Miller, the founder of Apogee Software, wasn't interested in programming at all until he learned you could create and play games with a computer. He left windows in his school unlocked to sneak in at night and program games on a Wang 2200. He later got caught but the teacher was so impressed at his work that he gave him the class key.
