Shortly after the release of the DLC pack THE JAMIE PAIGE CONTENT COMPANION, the in-game music video for "Machine Love" was quickly replaced with a censored version. This edit modifies a shot of three spinning Kasane Tetos to replace the caption "the fucking creature?" with "this time i'm really gonna do it" (referencing a meme originating from YouTuber Brutalmoose's 2013 review of Simtown), blurs a shot of two Hatsune Miku plushies being tossed into the air, and adds an animation of Jamie Paige exploding atop the latter. The edited caption is likely to maintain a T rating from the ESRB, while the censorship of the Hatsune Miku plushies is most likely due to rights issues regarding the character's likeness.
