The main antagonist of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Commander Sith (シス), and the coroner Courtney Sithe (コートニー・シス) from The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve (both games directed by Shu Takumi) have the same name origin in Japanese. Both character names originate from shisu (死す), an archaic Japanese verb for the word "death". This carries over into each game's English translations, as Commander Sith being named after a word for death strengthens his relation to the dead main protagonist, while the coroner's surname Sithe resembles "scythe", a tool commonly seen in cultural personifications of death.

Within the game's files is an arrangement of "Tifa's Theme" from Final Fantasy VII, presumably having been used to test out the game's soundfont before implementing any original music.
