Attachment If you type in "Game Grumps" at the Museum Entrance, secret text will appear saying:

"Far behind the inventor you see a poster for Game Grumps, the popular internet series hosted by Arin Hanson and Dan Avidan. The poster is bright orange with text in BD Cartoon Shout font, and it features caricatures of the show's hosts sporting grump expressions.

[Note: This Easter Egg is brought to you by Vitas Varnas without the knowledge or participation of the Game Grumps, members of their families, deceased relatives, or people they hang out with in pubs.]"

This is a reference to the internet let's play channel Game Grumps and their logo which uses the font style mentioned above. Actor Vitas Varnas was also the one who had inserted the Easter Egg into the game, who has often contributed games to the show.

In the US release of the Game Boy Advance ports of The Hobbit (2003), Hot Wheels: Velocity X, Peter Pan: The Motion Picture Event, and Around the World in 80 Days, a hidden developer message can be found in the game's files. The message is of a copypasta that circulated via emails and groups during the mid-90s. The message reads:

I LIKE MONKEYS

I like monkeys.

The pet store was selling them for five cents a piece. I thought that odd since they were normally a couple thousand each. I decided not to look a gift horse in the mouth. I bought 200. I like monkeys.

I took my 200 monkeys home. I have a big car. I let one drive. His name was Sigmund. He was retarded. In fact, none of them were really bright. They kept punching themselves in their genitals. I laughed. Then they punched my genitals. I stopped laughing.

I herded them into my room. They didn't adapt very well to their new environment. They would screech, hurl themselves off of the couch at high speeds and slam into the wall. Although humorous at first, the spectacle lost its novelty halfway into its third hour.

Two hours later I found out why all the monkeys were so inexpensive: they all died. No apparent reason. They all just sorta' dropped dead. Kinda' like when you buy a goldfish and it dies five hours later. Damn cheap monkeys.

I didn't know what to do. There were 200 dead monkeys lying all over my room, on the bed, in the dresser, hanging from my bookcase. It looked like I had 200 throw rugs.

I tried to flush one down the toilet. It didn't work. It got stuck. Then I had one dead, wet monkey and 199 dead, dry monkeys.

I tried pretending that they were just stuffed animals. That worked for a while, that is until they began to decompose. It started to smell real bad.

I had to pee but there was a dead monkey in the toilet and I didn't want to call the plumber. I was embarrassed.

I tried to slow down the decomposition by freezing them. Unfortunately there was only enough room for two monkeys at a time so I had to change them every 30 seconds. I also had to eat all the food in the freezer so it didn't all go bad.

I tried burning them. Little did I know my bed was flammable. I had to extinguish the fire.

Then I had one dead, wet monkey in my toilet, two dead, frozen monkeys in my freezer, and 197 dead, charred monkeys in a pile on my bed. The odor wasn't improving.

I became agitated at my inability to dispose of my monkeys and to use the bathroom. I severely beat one of my monkeys. I felt better.

I tried throwing them way but the garbage man said that the city wasn't allowed to dispose of charred primates. I told him that I had a wet one. He couldn't take that one either. I didn't bother asking about the frozen ones.

I finally arrived at a solution. I gave them out as Christmas gifts. My friends didn't know quite what to say. They pretended that they like them but I could tell they were lying. Ingrates. So I punched them in the genitals.

I like monkeys.

"This is the hanafuda captain speaking. Launching emulation in 3...2...1. Many efforts, tears and countless hours have been put into this jewel. So, please keep this place tidied up and don't break everything! Cheers, the hanafuda captain."

"Hanafuda" is a reference to the playing cards Nintendo sold before entering the video game business.

Guile has a special introduction against Rugal Bernstein, where he cuts a statue of himself in half with a Sonic Boom before Rugal destroys the base with a Reppuuken. This is in reference to The King of Fighters '94, where Rugal has a statue of Guile amongst his various trophies. Given how he makes his "statues", this implies Rugal had fought Guile in their universe and used his body to create his statue.

Before the boss fight against the Arkham Knight in his tunnel excavator, the Arkham Knight says that he asked if the excavator came in black, a nod to the line from the Christopher Nolan film Batman Begins.

The Arkham Knight also remarks how Batman always "gets knocked down only to pick himself up again." This is another nod to a line spoken in the film. Spoiler:Additionally, the Knight says he learned this from an "old friend". Because Alfred is the one who spoke the line in the film, this is also a hint at the Arkham Knight's true identity.

According to sound design supervisor Paul Lackey, the "hit-pip" sound played when you successfully shoot another player was created using the sound of a beer can opening.

According to Lackey:

"Another extremely challenging sounds was the 'hit-pip.' When you hit someone, you need to know you made contact. The sounds needs to cut through the mix but not feel like it comes from any hero. It went through tons of iteration. Finally, one night I thought, 'It should be satisfying to hit an enemy.' Just think about what's satisfying: beer. So I literally opened a beer can. Pssht. The sound is reversed and tweaked a little, but that sound is our hit-pip."
