Bravely Default: Flying Fairy
1
Many of the game's characters' names are word plays and references to story events, the characters themselves and real people.

• Tiz Arrior = "this warrior", while "tiz" also being Hungarian for "ten"
• Ringabel = "ring a bell"
• Agnès Oblige = "Agnes" could either refer to the Ancient Greek word "agnós" meaning "pure" or the French word "agnelle" (feminine) meaning "lamb". "Oblige" simply means obligation.
• Airy = "fairy"
• Edea Lee, Braev Lee and Mahzer Lee: "ideally", "bravely" and "motherly"
• Holly Whyte = "holy white"
• Ominas Crowe = "ominous crow"
• Barras Lehr = "bear wrestler"
• Argent Heinkel = "Silver Heinkel", "argent" being "silver" in French and Heinkel being a German aircraft.
• Eloch Quentis Khamer VII = "eloquent scammer"
• Erutus Profiteur = "a ruthless profiteer"
• Ciggma Khint = anagram for "magic knight"
• Fiore DeRosa = "pink flower" in Italian
• Artemia, Mephilia and Einheria Venus = Artemis, a Greek goddess of the moon and a huntress; Mephistopheles, a collector of souls from the Faust Legend; Einherjars are warriors of Norse mythology, often associated with Valkyries; Venus, the sisters' last name, is the Roman goddess of love, beauty and fertility.
• Nobutsuna Kamiizumi = Kamiizumi Ise-no-kami Fujiwara-no-Nobutsuna is a famous samurai from Japan's Sengoku period and the creator of Kenjutsu
• Hayreddin Barbarossa = Shares his name with an Ottoman admiral of the fleet and an emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. Since he is a pirate, his last name could also refer to Captain Barbossa from Pirates of the Caribbean.
• Kikyo Konoe = "kikyo" means "Chinese bellflower"
• Qada = "God's will" or "divine decree" in Arabic
• Praline à  la Mode = "à la Mode" is French roughly meaning "fashionable" but is also a kind of a dessert. Pralines are French confectioneries.

Resident Evil 2
1
Attachment In the police station on scenario 'A', the player meets character Marvin Branagh as he is resting on a locker. The name tag on that locker reads "JoJo". This is a reference to the anime "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure", or possibly a nod toward Capcom's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (1998), which came out on the same year as Resident Evil 2 did.
Bad Milk
1
During one point of the game, some reversed speech can be heard. When played backwards it says:

"There's something I have to tell you: The Walrus is Paul."

This is a reference to The Beatles song "Glass Onion", which features the line:

"I told you about the Walrus and me man, you know we as close as can be man, well here's another clue for you all: The walrus was Paul."

Spoiler:Another possible connection between the song and the game is the fact that the line "The walrus was Paul" is seen by conspiracy theorists as a message that proves Paul McCartney actually died in 1966 and was secretly replaced by a look-alike (as walruses apparently symbolize death in some cultures). Because Bad Milk's story is an interpretation of reincarnation, this could be the reason the developer's chose to use that particular line.

The game contains an ending error message where Sans will say;
"i'll be honest.i have no idea what happened for you to get here. this is actually some sort of error- handling message. so, if you're getting this ending...tell whoever made the game, okay? they'll fix it, or if it's a novel situation... they might even add another ending to the game. chances are, though... you're just a dirty hacker, aren't you? yeah, get outta here."

This works as an error handler when none of the available endings are triggered, which shouldn't happen during regular gameplay.

subdirectory_arrow_right Seaman (Game), Skies of Arcadia (Game), Dreamcast (Platform)
1
While playing a Dreamcast disc on a device that reads CD files usually produces a warning message, Seaman, Shenmue, and Skies of Arcadia each have unique warning messages on each disc, all provided by the game's voice cast. On Seaman's disc, the voice actor for the Seamen will jokingly warn the player that attempting to play track one will infect their household appliances with viral diseases, and the Skies of Arcadia cast informs the player that they can't save the world while stuck in a CD player. All three Shenmue messages feature different characters from the game warning the player that attempting to play track one (which contains game data) would produce harmful results.

1
Spoiler:During the scene in which Batman is forced to watch Oracle kill herself, The Joker can be seen nudging the gun she uses closer to her, which should be impossible as The Joker is only a hallucination in Batman's mind. This is actually a subtle foreshadowing to later in the game where it is revealed the entire scene was a hallucination.
