In the Dragon Language, the word for "steal" is "Gahrot." This is a reference to Garrett, the protagonist of the Thief series.

Likewise, the word "Tafiir" translates to "thief". This is a reference to the invented word "taffer" featured in the Thief series.
Mischief Makers

In one of the stages, there is a mini-boss named Calina. Before fighting her, a cutscene plays where she takes a minute to transform. This is a parody of the magical girl anime Sailor Moon and its transformation scenes.
Skies of Arcadia
1
The boss battle theme heard in Skies of Arcadia bears a striking resemblance to the theme for first level of the 1989 Namco game Legend of Valkyrie.
Undertale

Attachment The song from the OST, "She's Playing Piano" by Toby Fox seems to be a rendition of the popular webcomic series Homestuck's "Doctor." Toby Fox would eventually make a scrapped remix of the song titled, "Patient," which was originally intended for Homestuck but was remixed into Undertale's "Another Medium."

Genji's character may have been inspired by Hikaru Genji, the main character of an 11th century Japanese novel called The Tale of Genji. In addition to sharing a name, they both are described as playboys who were banished from their families.
Burnout Paradise
1
The announcer for Burnout Paradise, DJ Atomica, is voiced by the same person who provides commentary in SSX 3. He also references SSX several times in Burnout Paradise, possibly suggesting they are the same character.
Ōkami

Attachment The Clovers in the game are references to Clover Studio, the games developer, and when collected play a similar sound to their opening title.

Since Clover Studio is now defunct, this may explained why the Clovers don't appear in Okamiden, but instead were replaced with Dandelions.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron

Many fans have speculated that Lucifel's appearance was based on the game's lead designer, Takeyasu Sawaki. In response to these claims, Sawaki has stated in an interview that Lucifel's appearance was based on American movies he saw, and was designed to make him look as human as possible. However, Sawaki does admit that some of their traits are similar.

Attachment Despite never revealing whether the GTA2 protagonist Claude Speed and GTAIII protagonist Claude are the same person, Rockstar has at multiple times hinted that they could be the same person, or at least that they are two incarnations of the same character. When asked about this, a Rockstar spokesperson replied "Probably. It seems very likely but it's also possible that there are just a lot of angry silent car thieves called Claude out there." Later on Rockstar used Claude's GTAIII artwork on their official Facebook page with the name "Claude Speed" written next to him.

If they indeed are the same person, it would mean GTA2 would take place in 1999 as hinted in the game and that either Claude doesn't die at the end of the GTA2 opening video, that the video is non-canon, or that Claude's rap sheet where his age is shown is fake.

The opening segment to the theme for "Stage 7 - Dr Tongue's Castle of Terror" sounds strikingly similar to the main title theme for the movie "The Shining".
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
1
Attachment Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has a final boss character by the name of Armstrong. During the 2016 U.S. presidential election cycle, several bloggers and gamers noticed a strong similarity between Armstrong and Republican Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump. Like Trump, Armstrong is a wealthy businessman who seeks to become the U.S. president. At one point in the game, Armstrong even says that he will 'make America great again', the exact slogan used by the Trump campaign.

Oddly enough, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released in 2013, a full two years before Donald Trump announced in candidacy in 2015.
Rayman Adventures

Attachment The level "Sea of Serendipity" more so resembles the level "20,000 Lums Under the Sea" from Rayman Legends than the level with the same name from Rayman Origins.

The names of Helioptile and Heliolisk seem to stem from Greek mythology. 'Helios' is an ancient Greek titan who is the personification of the sun. Helioptile's Pokemon X's Pokedex entry states that it basks in the sun to get energy, strengthening this connection.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up

Despite the character designs being from the 2007 Animated Film, the game uses the voice actors from the 2003 Series by 4Kids Entertainment.
Phantasy Star Online 2
1
In addition to the cross promotional items and Sega-related items, Phantasy Star Online 2 also has a few other references, a few of which might be a result of Konami being a competitor to Sega.

The Duel Gaze is an obvious reference to a Duel Disk from Yu-Gi-Oh! Unlike other talisman weapons in the game, it is apparently strapped to the wielder's arm and is not held by a handle. It also has an unlockable ability called "Trap Activated"(Wana Hatsudo), which boosts the power of ranger traps, in spite of being an techer weapon (albeit one that is equipable by all classes). The Red Duel Gazer likewise has an unlockable ability called "Trap Master" (Takumi wana-shi).

A reference to Metal Gear Solid can be found in the talisman weapon "Metalisolidom", a weapon that is dropped by Transmizer, an enemy which bears an uncanny resemblance to Metal Gear REX. Other Lilipia mechs are also commonly referred to by western players as Metal Gears, though the fact they are on Lilipia might actually be a reference to Laputa from Myazaki's Castle in The Sky which, like Lilipia, is also based on Gulliver's Travels.

While there was an Attack On Titan collaboration, the fight against Magatsu plays homage to it without directly using any of the Attack on Titan material. Instead of 3D Maneuver Gear, the Phantasy Star Crew utilized the previously introduced jump pads, as well as a buff that boosted jump height partway through the first quest where you fight it. Additionally, the trailer/opening featuring Magatsu similarly appears to be a homage to Attack On Titan.

In Phantasy Star Online Rag Rappies are most likely named after the planet Ragol, Al Rappies are most likely named after the Algol system and the Nab Rappies in Phantasy Star Online 2 are most likely named after the planet Naberius.

Though they appear on Ragol, Al Rappies are the non-seasonal rare version of rag rappies in PSO, while in Phantasy Star Universe and PSO2 the non-seasonal rare rappy variant is simply called "Rappy" and appear on every planet, suggesting that Al Rappies are rare because they somehow traveled from the Algol system from the classic Phantasy Star games, though they are still considered to be native enemies, while the rare rappies in PSO2 are part of the "another" enemy group.

Naberius is named after the Marquis of hell, and Amduscia is likewise named after the demon King Amdusias, listed in the Goetia.

Lillipa is named after the Kingdom of Lilliput, and the lillipans are based on the lilliputians, from Gulliver's Travels.

Vopar is possibly named after the Vorpal Sword from the poem "Jabberwocky" in Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There", but given the abundance of water on the planet it could also be named after the aquatic demon Vepar.

Oracle seems be a Japanese phonetic anagram of Algol, similar to Ragol from Phantasy Star Online, but substituting a C in place of a G.
World in Conflict
1
Attachment World in Conflict contains a few references to other similar works.
One of the main characters in the game, Captain Bannon, is most likely a reference to Captain Sean Bannon from the 1987 best selling novel Team Yankee.
Both characters are high ranking US army officers in an Armor Company, and both fight in Europe during a "Cold War gone hot".

There are also plenty of references and similarities to the 1984 film Red Dawn as well.
Both have a large focus on the Soviet invasion and occupation of the United States, they include themes of resistance against Soviet occupation, and as previously mentioned both deal with a "Cold War gone hot" scenario.

The operation name for the Soviet invasion of West Berlin is even referred to as Red Dawn.
Company of Heroes
1
The title of the game seems to be a reference to a letter written by Mike Ranney, a Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division during WW2, in which he writes;
"I cherish the memories of a question my grandson asked me the other day when he said, 'Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?' I said 'No...but I served in a company of heroes'."

Attachment On route 10, picnicker Coral says "The Pokemon here are so chunky! There should be a pink one with a floral pattern." This description perfectly matches the Pokemon Munna, from Pokemon Black & White released twelve years later.
