Pocket Card Jockey
1
In the Japanese version, a button with an image of a whip can be used in the final turn to speed up the horse. In the US version, the image of the whip was replaced with a green "Go!" button. This was likely changed to avoid complaints over animal abuse.
Sonic Mega Collection
1
The games Comix Zone and The Ooze are only available in the Japanese version of Sonic Mega Collection. They can be unlocked through button codes:

• Comix Zone - Press Up, L, Down, R, Up, Z, Down, L, Up, R, Down, Z in the Options menu.
• The Ooze - Press Z, Z, Z, Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, L, R, Z in the Manual menu.

Super Mario Sunshine
1
Attachment In the Japanese version, Isle Delfino is named Dolphic Island. However, both the English and Japanese release use the same English voice acting, so in the in-flight infomercial still mentions Isle Delfino in the Japanese version.
F-Zero GX
1
There are 15 special custom parts which could only be unlocked through promotional events in Japan, which took place shortly after the game came out in 2003 and early 2004. The only other way to unlock these parts is through use of cheat codes.
Midi Maze
subdirectory_arrow_right Faceball 2000 (Game)
1
Faceball 2000 is a port of an earlier first person shooter maze game called MIDI Maze for the Atari ST. The game constructed multiplayer networks using the MIDI interface, and up to 16 computers could be networked in a "MIDI Ring" by connecting one computer's MIDI-OUT port to the next computer's MIDI-IN port.

The Game Boy version of Faceball 2000 retained this networking capability, and is the only Game Boy game capable of supporting 16 players simultaneously. It did so by connecting multiple copies of the Game Boy's Four Player Adapter to one another, so that each additional adapter added another two players up to the maximum. Seven such adapters were needed for a full 16 player experience. It currently holds the Guinness World Record for "Most players on a single Game Boy multiplayer session".
Mario Party 6
1
In the European and Australian versions, the four luck-based minigames "Same Is Lame", "Trap Ease Artist", "Pitifall", and "Trick or Tree" are not featured in the Endurance Alley game mode due to the unavoidable possibility of the player being forced to break their win streak.
Club Penguin: Game Day!
1
During Club Penguin's 5th anniversary celebration, special edition copies of the game with exclusive boxart were given out to members of their staff.
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
subdirectory_arrow_right Rayman 3D (Game)
1
Attachment Though the 3DS port’s North American boxart is nearly identical to the original Nintendo 64 box art, the PAL boxart instead features Rayman holding a Yellow Lum and smiling to the camera. This boxart is also mirrored in the German release, most likely to prevent the rating label from obscuring Raymans face.
Sid Meier's Civilization
1
The Amiga port uses a different piece of classical music as Frederick II's theme. Bach's "Goldberg Variations, 4th Variation" is normally used as the theme for Frederick, while the Amiga version uses Mozart's "Rondo Alla Turca" instead.
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land
1
Attachment The color on the game's PAL boxart is noticeably darker than the North American boxart. Because of this, Meta Knight's cape is hard to discern against the cover's background. Kirby and the game title are also a darker shade of pink, and the Nintendo Logo is next to the game's rating box rather than underneath it.
Doom
1
Episode 1, Mission 4 (Command Control) changed between different versions of the game. In the initial release version (1.0), the map contained a Swastika-shaped arrangement of computers, in a reference to Wolfenstein 3D, an earlier id Software game. This was later changed in version 1.4, the "final" version.
Ōkamiden
1
Attachment In Japan, the game was released under the title "Okamiden: Chiisaki Taiyo" (「大神伝:小さき太陽」/Okami Chronicles: Tiny Sun).
Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space
1
Attachment In Japan, the game was released under the title "Blinx 2: Battle of Time and Space".
Mega Man 8
1
In the Saturn version, Cut Man and Wood Man from Mega Man and Mega Man 2 make appearances as mini-bosses in Duo's mini-stage and Search Man's stage respectively. The former is optional, while the latter is mandatory. A remix of their themes also plays while battling them.
World of Warcraft
1
The Chinese version of World of Warcraft is censored to hide instances of blood, gore, and death, and replaced instances of bone or gore with other objects such as sandbags and bread. Undead creatures have also been edited to remove any graphic or gory details.
Capcom Fighting Evolution
1
Attachment In Europe and Japan, the game was released under the name "Capcom Fighting Jam".
Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games
1
Attachment The pre-release box art for the European version did not include Donkey Kong or Amy and showed a PEGI rating of 3, while the final release was rated 7.
Evil Zone
1
Attachment In the NTSC-J and PAL versions, "Erel Plowse" originally wears no leggings, exposing her legs. In the NTSC-U version, she wears pink leggings, and has an altered camera view when she performs a grab move that focuses less on her crotch.
Final Fight 2
1
Attachment Won Won wields a meat cleaver in the Japanese version of Final Fight 2, but this was removed in the English version. Despite this, the artwork featured in the manual still has him holding the cleaver, and the text warns to "be careful not to get too close to him or he'll slice you up". While no official explanation for the change has been given, it was likely due to Nintendo's censorship policy, since characters could bleed when hit by it.
Final Fight 2
1
Attachment Similar to Poison and Roxy in the original Final Fight game, Mary and Eliza were replaced by male characters called Robert and Leon in the international release.
