Attachment There's an unused animation for the decorative mailbox that appears above the post office in Hyrule Castle Town. The level of animation suggests that there were to be fully functional mailboxes in the game, much like with The Wind Waker.

Attachment There is an unused vehicle named "Super Falcon", it is only accessible by using cheat codes. It was originally intended to become unlocked with use of the F-Zero X Expansion Kit for the Nintendo 64DD.

The codename for the zombie map Moon is "zombie_paris" in the console version of the game. According to Treyarch, the final map was going to be in Paris, but it was decided to be changed to be on the Moon and in Area 51 as they wanted to "go out with a bang."

Sol Badguy is partially based off of Freddie Mercury, former frontman for the rock band Queen. This includes his name as a nod to Mercury's nickname "Mr. Bad Guy," as well as his leitmotif in the games being called "Keep Yourself Alive," sharing its name with the first song from Queen's debut album. Sol's headband is also inscribed with the words "Rock You," a reference to Queen's song "We Will Rock You."

According to Sol's official bio, his main hobby is listening to Queen, and his favourite album is "Sheer Heart Attack." This may also tie in to his role as Daisuke Ishiwatari's alter ego, as Ishiwatari admits to being a fan of Queen.

In Midnight Mountain is a platform with some extra lives on it in the distance, inaccessible unless either a cheat device or well timed proxy jump is used. The area was originally planned to be the Super Bonus World portal, with a huge whirlwind that would guide you across.

Ragna the Bloodedge's name is derived from "Ragnarök," a Norse term commonly used to describe the end of the world. This could tie into Ragna's ability to channel the Black Beast, which nearly caused the end of the world in BlazBlue's timeline.

It may also be a reference to the legendary Ragnar Lodbrok, a man who slayed the serpent Jörmungandr. This mirrors the relationship between Ragna and series antagonist Yūki Terumi, who has a snake motif for his attacks.

According to a page on the Japanese Super Smash Bros. site, Mewtwo was planned to be playable, but was cut; Bowser and King Dedede are also mentioned as having been cut, though no other information is available.

The original pitch for the game was called Mankind. In this version, all of the infected would have been women. Ellie would have been the only female to be immune, and Joel was protecting her in order to bring her to a lab to develop a vaccine. The idea was scrapped after several female Naughty Dog employees voiced criticism and concerns over the concept. Neil Druckmann has said that "the reason it failed is because it was a misogynistic idea."

At one point during the game's development, Naughty Dog was put under pressure to change Ellie's positioning from the front of the cover art to the background. It is suggested that this was because of the misconception that if you have a female character on the cover, the game will sell less. Naughty Dog refused.

Attachment The game started off as a project called "Seiken Densetsu: The Emergence of Excalibur" and was planned to be released in 1987 for the Famicom Disk System on 5 Disks, which would've been the biggest 8-bit game ever made. However resources were moved to focus on games for the Game Boy to which the project was canceled with Square giving refunds to all who had pre-ordered it. The Seiken Densetsu name was later reused for another game which was in development called Gemma Knights which would become Final Fantasy Adventure.

Demos of the game, found on demo discs and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, contain full versions of the game. The rest of the game besides the demo content is simply locked, but can be accessed through the use of a cheat code. There are many differences between the game's demo release and the final retail game.

If Naked Snake does not set off any alerts, his codename will be "Tsuchinoko". If the player beats Portable Ops Plus on any difficulty without setting off alert mode at all throughout the game, they will receive a feather for their picture, and Tsuchinoko for their codename.

The second trailer for Team Fortress 2 shows gameplay footage of each class, except for the Medic. However, the Medic does make two appearances in the video; once at 1:47, on the left, and once again at 1:50, he can be seen behind a wall.

The trailer also shows many sound and weapon changes. Some of these include the Scout using a weapon called the Nailgun, which was replaced by the Scattergun, and the Demoman can be seen throwing an pack of Dynamite, which was later replaced by his Stickybombs. Every class, including the Pyro, uses generic scream sounds for taking damage and dying, including the infamous Wilhelm scream.
