The Basement Collection

On top of the seven included games (plus the two secret ones), there are four more older games hidden away as raw SWF files in the steamapps/common/basement/moregames folder. These are:

• Clubby The Seal (2004)
• Viviparous Dumpling (2005)
• Carious Welting (2003)
• Carious Welting 2 (2005).

Unlike the other games in the collection, these are unaltered from their original Newgrounds release.
The Sims 2

Attachment There is an unfinished and normally inaccessible aspiration called "Power" in the game. It has some similarities to the "Popularity" and "Fortune" aspirations. Some NPCs and premade deceased sims appear to have this aspiration, and it can also be assigned to a sim using the Sim Modder cheat object.
Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing

Attachment Four unused cars can be found in the game's files. They consist of a Ford Expedition, a Toyota Celica, a Hummer H1, and a Nissan 350Z. The Ford, Celica, and Z350 are fully functional, but the Hummer's materials file doesn't point correctly at its model and textures, and only draws the alpha channel on most of the vehicle.
HyperZone

There is a hidden and incomplete 3D Effect function that can be unlocked from the title screen by inputting the following sequence: Select, Select, A, B, Select, Select, X, Y, Select, Select, L, R, Up. If done correctly, the HyperZone title will change from orange to red. The effect can then be toggled in-game by pressing the Select button. It appears the idea was to make use of Anaglyph 3D glasses (red/blue) for a 3D effect, but the effect was not fully implemented and ultimately abandoned.
Sonic Mega Collection

Attachment At one point in development, Sonic CD was going to be a playable option in the game. The entire European manual was scanned and is fully viewable in the game; however, no known prototype exists with an image file of the actual game (some people have chalked it up to size constraints and others to technical constraints). There are also two listings in the same prototype for "Sonic the Hedgehog the Movie 1" and "Sonic the Hedgehog the Movie 2," suggesting that the OVA was going to be in the game as well, and would have been split into two parts like the original 1996 Japanese VHS release.
Yoshi's Island DS

Attachment The logo on the side of the game's early box art shows that it was intended to have online functionality, but no such feature is present in the final game.
Mario Kart 64

The Game originally had a Vertical Split-screen in 2 Player gameplay. This cannot be done without hacking in the Final Version, and the Lap Counter still appears in Battle Mode. Mario Kart 8 later managed to use Vertical Split-screen 18 years later.
Paper Mario

Attachment Whacka has an entry in the enemy name table and a tattle. Based on the tattle, it seems that earlier in development, instead of disappearing after being hit enough times, he would attack.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity

Attachment Through hacking, Victini can be made playable in the main storyline. Though it lacks a sleeping animation (Victini will seem to jump between laying down and standing up for the duration of its "sleep"), it has a full move set and range of animations. It was possibly cut from the game's playable roster due to the power of the move Searing Shot, and later re-added as the Victini seen at the V-Wheel in later stages of development.
Minecraft

Attachment If a Spider is spawned in the Nether, there is a very rare chance that it will spawn with a Wither Skeleton riding it. This behavior normally goes unused, because Spiders don't spawn in the Nether.
Mario Kart Wii

Attachment A graphic of the American flag can be found in the game's files. This could suggest that there was originally going to be a language selection screen.
Super Mario 64

Attachment There is a metal wing texture in the game for combining the Wing Cap and Metal Cap, similar to how the Vanish Cap and Metal Cap can be combined in Dire Dire Docks. There are no levels in the game where it would be possible to equip both simultaneously, but they do function and use this texture if given to Mario via hacking.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Attachment An unused HUD element named "InfAdvLevel0000" was apparently intended to display a shrinking bar for 50 frames (5/6 of a second) with a "level number" in a circle. The label "pp" is even more mysterious. The black areas of the textures would have been transparent in-game.
James Bond 007: Tomorrow Never Dies

Attachment There are several unused loading screens in the game's data, including one that says "Multiplayer", indicating that the game was intended to have a multiplayer mode, which was cut for unknown reasons.
Shadow of the Colossus

Attachment There's an unused item in the game's code called The Eye of the Colossus. While semi-functional in the Preview version of the game, it was removed from the final game. It allows players to witness battles through the eyes of the Colossus they are fighting. It is, however, buggy and unfinished. Two pieces of unused text describing the item also remain within the game.
Fallout: New Vegas

The Child at Heart perk from Fallout 3 was set to return to New Vegas, but was ultimately cut, most likely because there are very few children in the game. Unused dialogue can still be found within the game's audio files, however.
Legoland

Unused text strings, sounds and graphics indicate that there was going to be an age-based difficulty system, similar to that of Lego Chess. This was probably removed due to time or space issues.
Super Mario 64

Attachment In an interview with Satoru Iwata and Shigeru Miyamoto, it was revealed that an early, experimental build of the game had split-screen multiplayer, with Mario and Luigi as playable characters.

The game's planned multiplayer mode ended up being reworked into a Mario Bros.-style minigame thanks to the Nintendo 64's technical limitations making the split-screen concept unfeasible. However, in February of 1996 (just a month before E3 of that year), both multiplayer mode and Luigi were removed, in part because the Nintendo 64 was bundled with only one controller. These statements are corroborated by findings from the Gigaleak, a massive content leak of internal data from Nintendo in 2020 that included early assets from Super Mario 64. Among the leaked material was a model and textures for Luigi and sprites for "1P" and "2P" icons. Luigi's model is dated June 20, 1995, while the icons use the same generic font seen in the Shoshinkai demo from November of that year, rather than the custom font seen in both the E3 1996 demo and the final release.
Mario Party

Attachment Through the use of a Gameshark code, it's possible to enable a feature that ultimately went unused in the final game. After a player's turn ends, their HUD will turn yellow, and a big "NO GAME" sign will appear before moving on to the next turn, instead of playing a mini-game. If it's the last turn, a big "GAME OVER" sign will appear, and the board ending will play as normal.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Attachment An unused character select screen exists in the game for a wi-fi mode named Slipspace. This mode is limited to "With Anyone", and unlike regular wi-fi modes, there is no space on the screen for additional players to join. In the settings bar, the player can set the number of minutes for the mode.

How this mode would have worked and whether it is operational in the game is unknown. The description text for the mode is:
"Set your time and leap into the battle slipspace!"
