In the Japanese Arcade version of the game, Evil Ryu has a unique ending. This ending is not present in the English arcade release or console ports of the game, instead Evil Ryu and regular Ryu share the same ending.

Both Dark Seed games received ports on the Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation in Japan. The English voice acting is kept for the first game as only the text is translated. For the second game, Mike Dawson is dubbed in Japanese while the other characters are not voiced.

Attachment A number of changes to the save system were introduced in Majora's Mask 3D:
• Owl statues now save permanently and no longer end the game when used.
• Playing the Song of Time no longer saves the game.
• Like the original Japanese version, the game now has three save slots (up from the two in the US version - a result of adding owl saving which wasn't present in the Japanese release).
• Additional non-owl save statues were added to the game. These statues can be used to save but not for fast travel.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

In the original game, the Song of Double Time could be used to automatically jump to dusk on the current day or the dawn of the next day (depending on when it was used). Its functionality was changed in the 3DS version to a choice of any hour within the current day or to the dawn of the following day.

Attachment In the U.S. and European versions of the game D. Dark's punch grab move was censored and replaced with a generic throw, his original grab move was to slit his opponent's throat. The code for the animation can still be found in the game.

Due to fan feedback over how the game felt unfair because certain aspects of the game rely heavily on chance, the developer, ##Devolver Digital## patched the game with the "Mercy Update", that added Puzzle and Narrative modes, both of which remove the random aspects of the game.

Instead, the Japanese version has a cheat code that gives Bond a paired rocket launcher and sniper rifle (with full ammo for each weapon). When using the two weapons together, the sniper rifle's adjustable scope can be used. Unlike the 2x weapon cheats, each weapon can also be used separately.
