Kaori Mizuhashi, the voice of Navi in the original game, reprised her role in the Japanese version of the game's 2026 remake, making her the only actress from the original game's voice cast to return. According to the remake's director HokWai Ng and series producer Eiji Aonuma, they did not plan this and had unknowingly cast her again during blind auditions as they were attempting to find performances that "recreated the sound and feel of the original game."
