To make up for the long wait between the US and European releases, the European release of the game features multiple extras not found in the Japanese or American releases.
These include an art gallery, a skit viewer and equippable headgear for Emil and Marta that change their appearance in battle. Notably one of the equippable items is the Judas Mask worn by Leon Magnus in Tales of Destiny 2, which is also mentioned in a skit by Presea.
The European extras were later included in all versions of the game for its PlayStation 3 Chronicles rerelease.

The Fencer's Bandanna equippable item is a reference to Cless Alvein, protagonist of Tales of Phantasia. Said bandanna is red much like Cless's own bandanna and the item's description mentions it being modeled after the "Eternal Swordsman's" bandanna from "Legends of Fantasy"

In one skit, Presea mentions creating an outfit called the "Loni-Kyle" which apparently keeps the wearer warm despite baring the wearer's midriff. This is a reference to both Kyle and Loni Dunamis from Tales of Destiny 2 who both wore outfits baring their stomachs.
The same skit also has Presea mention she made a mask called the "Judas Mask" which despite not hiding the wearer's face well conceals their identity. This references popular series character Leon Magnus, who wore a thin skull-like mask in Tales of Destiny 2 and went under the name "Judas."
