For the game's visual style, Sega asked the team at Traveller's Tales for something fitting "hyper-realism"; more specifically "a style that looks realistic yet cartoony and colourful at the same time." They cited the 2004 Honda Grrr advertising campaign, which featured stylized rabbits alongside realistic car engines, for reference. Interestingly, one of the artists on the team had also worked on these advertisements. Other than the general pairing of realistic and cartoony elements, the advertisement's most evident influence on the game's visuals is through the design of various trees and topiaries in Zootopia.
