"The concept [behind Ned] was developed by Sue and Terri Shakespeare, [who] developed it as a CD-ROM game. The animated series was developed more by myself and the story editors. Sue and Terri didn't really know what the animated series was going to be when they handed it to us. We actually shared a lot of ideas as we went along. The big difference [between the two media outlets] is the concept of Ned having one dream and trying to get out of it safely. In the show, Ned has a different dream each episode. The game is happening simultaneously with the show. There's some crossover. We sent them our graphics. The important thing about a game is that the art comes later. We had to have our art done right away and they ended up influenced by it along the way."
