In the North American Gamecube version, there is an unused string related to displaying the game in Progressive Scan. While fully functional, Progressive Scan was not fully implemented due to the North American Gamecube version being rushed.

Progressive Scan was fully implemented in all other versions of the game.

The character "Fang the Wolf", who appears and is playable in all other releases of the game, was included but not unlockable in the initial Gamecube release due to the game being rushed out before the method of unlocking him was actually programmed in.

When originally released for the Gamecube, the game was called Blood Roar: Primal Fury. The name was changed to Bloody Roar: Extreme when it was released in Japan and it kept this updated name when ported to the Xbox later.
