During the chapter "Homeless", a man can be found sitting on a bench reading a newspaper. Through the use of Aiden, it's possible to see a headline which reads, "Origami Killer: Seven victims and still no lead". This is a reference to the game Heavy Rain.

David Cage was inspired to write the story of Beyond: Two Souls after a member of his family passed away. He wanted to write a story about death, but not from the usual perspective, and treat it like a physical event that can be explained.

Spoiler:Attempting to use Aiden to assist in the birthing process will result in Jodie insisting there's nothing he can do, despite Aiden's powers being capable of making the birth far easier. This was done to avoid using Aiden to get to an angle where the player could see Tuesday's genitalia.

Attachment Quantic Dream sent a mock script made up of 2,000 blank pages representing the size of the game's actual script to different video game media outlets. The first page of the mock script reads:

"The average film script is 100 pages. At 2,000 pages, this is not your average film script.

Beyond: Two Souls
The first exclusive PlayStation title to be officially selected for the Tribeca Film Festival."

The developer also included a DVD with one minute of bootleg footage of the game's appearance in the Tribeca Film Festival.
