Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2
1
Attachment An upgraded special edition release of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 (which was known as Dragon Ball Z 2 in Japan) was released exclusively in Japan and titled "Dragon Ball Z 2 V".

Only 1000 copies were produced and sent out to readers of the magazine V Jump. This version featured a special Tenka'ichi Budōkai stage with V-Jump plastered over the ring, all characters unlocked from the start, and an alternate Coola costume for Freeza.

However, players were unable to save the game and all capsules were automatically assigned to characters.

If the game detects a pirated copy of the game, all enemies will be removed from the game except for those from the first level.

McDohl's name has a bizarre glitch when transferring data from Suikoden to Suikoden II. In canon, the hero's name in the first game is Tir McDohl, however the game only transfers the capital letters of the name across, so naming him Tir will result in his name being TcDohl in Suikoden II. In order for his name to be McDohl in the second name, you would have to name him something with only a capital M in the first game. If you name him something in full capitals, it will all be transferred across, for example, naming him TIR will result in his name being TIRohl.

Franchise: Suikoden

Throughout the first three installments, the characters are given a scene in which they must use a fake name. Schtolteheim Reinbach III is an option for a name in all of the games; Viktor uses it in Suikoden 1, the player can give the name to Flik in Suikoden II, and Chris can use it in Suikoden III.

Schtolteheim Reinbach III appears as a character in the fourth installment, which is a prequel to the other games, based around 150 years prior to the events of these games. This would suggest that his name is notable throughout history for some reason.

Thomas is the only character in the series to take the role of the Tenkai Star and not be a main protagonist. Though his role is vital in the story of the game, his only true purpose is as the master of the castle in which your army is based. He is also the only Tenkai Star to never receive a true rune throughout the entire series.

Attachment After receiving the Romani's Mask, if you protect Romani's Ranch from the invaders on the First Day, and help Cremia deliver the milk to Clock Town, you'll receive 1 of 3 rewards. Link can get either a Huge Rupee (worth 200 Rupees), some Chateau Romani, or a hug.

If Link receives the hug, Cremia will hold Link up close to herself and a message will appear saying "You did it! You helped Cremia!" "You feel all warm and fuzzy! inside! Sigh... You could get used to this!" The extra exclamation point after fuzzy was removed in later versions of the game.

There are many unique dialogue choices for the end of the game after defeating the Beast Rune. Some of these require special conditions to be met, such as having only a single character with you.

Jowy and Nanami can also be hacked into the party using code, which will reveal Jowy having glitched text, but Nanami will have understandable dialogue.
Suikoden II

Attachment If the player decides to run away Spoiler:with Nanami during the events that develop around Tinto, the player can reveal an alternate ending in which the hero and Nanami will live quietly in the country.

Additionally, many characters have unique dialogue during this scene, including a script coded in for both Viktor and Flik, even though there's no way for you to put them in your party at this point in the game.

According to the manual, the whole game was made because Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong had a bet with Cranky Kong that they could have fun even without "fancy graphics" and "modern music" like in Donkey Kong Country.

There was a police investigation in Spain called "Operación Pokémon" (Operation Pokemon). It got its name from the almost endless amount of politicians that had committed fraud, so the police took the motto "Gotta catch 'em all!" from the Pokemon series.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
1
In Metal Gear Solid 4, the all-female haven troops cannot be knocked unconscious by grabbing their crotch after a body search (as it turns into a grope). If Snake tries this, the soldier will start yelling "Pervert!", "You idiot!", "If you don't cut that out...", or "You men are all the same!" They will soon retaliate with an incapacitating kick. That said, there's a slight chance they will say, "Hey, you're pretty good at that."
Golden Sun
1
Attachment In the first Golden Sun game, you can get a "bad ending" near the beginning of the game. After the events that occur at Sol Sanctum, the Great Healer will ask you, "Will you accept responsibility for the fate of the land?" If you say no and leave the room, the screen will turn grey and display the text "And so the world began drifting toward its fated destruction..."
Franchise: Pokémon
1
Attachment Pokemon was originally called "Capsule Monsters" but was renamed as the creators had trouble trademarking the name. They also tried to trademark "Capumon" and then "Pocked Monsters". Capsule Monsters was put on hold so Game Freak could develop Yoshi for the NES and Game Boy. The success of Yoshi helped Game Freak acquire the resources they needed to continue work on Pokemon, and could even be the reason we have Pokemon today. The name "Capsule Monsters" is inspired by Japanese gashapon machines. It appears PokeMarts were supposed to sell the capsules, as indicated by this concept art.
Space Invaders
1
Even though Space Invaders used some of the latest hardware for the time, its creator, Tomohiro Nishikado, discovered that the processer wasn't powerful enough to run the game as intended (with the aliens moving at a constant speed), and instead rendered the alien graphics faster when fewer were on screen. Rather than design the game to compensate for the speed increase, he decided to keep it as a challenging gameplay mechanic.
