He admitted that he had trouble making it past the first level and that he would've made the game a lot easier had he balanced it only on his own experiences.

Many fans of the series protested against the American accent. Avalanche Studios later responded to the controversy, announcing that Max would still have an Australian accent.

There is a cheat only accessible through a cheat device known as 'Glyn and Nick'. Once activated, the voices in the game are replaced by a low quality recording from Nick Wiswell and Glyn Williams from the former Bizarre Creations team.

Early demo footage showed that the Slime Tether attachment was available earlier in the game. Also in the demo footage, a small bubble formed at the tip of the nozzle when the slime tether was selected, which was also left out of the retail version.

Attachment Shang Tsung originally had a fatality in which he would behead his opponent with his sword. The sprites for this are still in the game's data.

Tomohiro Nishikado, the game's creator, wanted to create a game that was better than the Atari game "Breakout", which he was hooked on at the time. Based on the sense of accomplishment and exhilaration from breaking the targets, Nishikado wanted to improve upon this by giving the targets a more interesting shape and by turning it into a shooting game.

The invaders in the game were originally intended to be airplanes, but the vehicle movements appeared jittery. Tomohiro Nishikado, the game's creator, then wanted to use human targets instead, however Taito's president was against the idea. It was eventually settled on having aliens after the recent popularity of Star Wars, with their designs inspired by the buglike aliens from the novel "The War of the Worlds" by H. G. Wells.

The song 'Jungle Drum' by Emiliana Torrini was intended to appear in this game but was taken out for unknown reasons. However, the dancer (and its respective choreography) were reused later in the series.
U.B. Funkeys

There is a cut Funkey named Taojo who never made it into the game. He would have appeared in the Speed Racer series, but was unreleased for unknown reasons.
Silent Hill: Downpour

In an early trailer (which Konami never meant for release), a boss fight with the Monocle Man can be seen at the end. According to the trailers and some left over models, he was meant to attack with two large tentacles, both of which appear to grab the train cars from the Devil's Pit ride. The removal of his boss fight is speculated to be due to the early release deadline.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Attachment Dart from Legend of Dragoon and Abe from Oddworld were both originally planned to be released as DLC characters, but were ultimately cancelled. Concept art was made for Dart, and Abe was announced as cancelled DLC for April and May. Alongside the new characters, there were plans for a Gravity Rush/Journey stage, but it was also cancelled.

According to the commentary for the South Park episode "Insecurity", one of the ideas for the game would have been to sneak into other people's homes and get past their security systems. This was before Trey Parker and Matt Stone went with the idea for the RPG Stick of Truth game.

Looking into the game's files, all of the data on Disco Kid is stored under a file named "kidquick". It's possible that Disco Kid would've originally been Kid Quick from the arcade version of Punch-Out!!.

There was originally going to be fights against both the Infantry General and the Demolitions General in the Zero Hour expansion. Both of these fights are still in the game but cannot be accessed through normal gameplay.

Attachment There is an unreleased Donkey Kong music game called Donkey Kong no Ongaku Asobi (translated to Donkey Kong's Fun with Music). It would have been on the NES and would have followed Donkey Kong Jr. Math as a series of Donkey Kong edutainment games.
