Attachment In the Pokemon Origins anime miniseries, Red uses a Charizard, Dodrio, Persian, Scyther, Lapras and Jolteon during his fight against Blue at the Indigo Pleateau. These were the same Pokemon on the team used by creator Satoshi Tajiri during his test playthrough of Pokemon Red & Blue.

At the beginning of the game, it is possible to backtrack through the first area after Clair is kidnapped and get back into the red Jeep that the pair originally arrived in. Doing this will trigger an alternate ending to the game, playing a short cutscene of Jason driving off saying "Eh, plenty of fish in the sea!" before the game's credits roll.

An unnamed programmer, "The Hanafuda Captain", hid a message in the NES Classic Edition's code that reads:

"This is the hanafuda captain speaking. Launching emulation in 3...2...1. Many efforts, tears and countless hours have been put into this jewel. So, please keep this place tidied up and don't break everything! Cheers, the hanafuda captain."

"Hanafuda" is a reference to the playing cards Nintendo sold before entering the video game business.

Billy Lee from Double Dragon makes a cameo appearance as an audience member in the game. This was the first WWF arcade game created, and was made by the same developer as Double Dragon, Technos.

After the release of Street Fighter 3, Capcom had the idea of introducing Akuma's new super moves for future games in his endings:

• Akuma uses "Kongou Kokuretsuzan" in his Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact ending, becoming one of his Super Arts in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.

• The technique "Tenshou Kaireki Jin" was first seen in Akuma's ending in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. It was used to destroy the remains of a sunken liner ship that sat on the ocean floor. It would later became Akuma's second Ultra Combo in Super Street Fighter IV.

• Akuma was first seen using the "Sekia Kuretsuha" move in his Super Street Fighter IV ending. There, he destroyed a forest with it. That same technique became Akuma's first Critical Art in Street Fighter V.

His bio reads that he chose to put his head in a jar to continue his support for the show Game Grumps and his career as an actor, a reference to the actor being a well-known fan of the series.

Vitas had also provided the voice for the character Dimmer Switch Prodigy Child in the game, and also served as a play tester.
