Attachment One of the taunt kills for the Pyro is called "Hadouken". This is a direct reference to Street Fighter. The audio and kill icon further support this, although it's hard to understand the audio, but it does sound like the Pyro is saying "Hadou-Ken!".

There is a secret code in the Japanese version of the original game. Going into the menu screen and entering Down, Up, Right, Left, Select, Start, Select, Start, B, will cause Toad to appear on-screen and say:

"Secret code found!
Now, let's take a look at your Status.
......Wow!
Nothing's changed at all.
But, what about your experience points......
Nope, nothing's changed.
There's no point in looking for other codes,
and the result will always be the same.
I'll play with you as many times as you like, though......
Secret Code END"

This code would be included internationally for the first time in the game's 2023 remake.

The AI of the Patriots are named GW, AL, TR, and TJ, after George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, and Thomas Jefferson. They are compared by Eva as a "sort of digital Mount Rushmore". The AI core that unites them is JD (John Doe).
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

There are three unique ashes in Morrowind:
Ashes of G. Lyngas, located in Ravel Ancestral Tomb.
Ashes of Lord Brinne, located in Samarys Ancestral Tomb.
Ashes of D. Bryant, located in Falas Ancestral Tomb.
These three are all dedicated to former regulars at The Elder Scrolls Forums, all of whom passed away during production.

Attachment During the second case when going to Ron DeLite's apartment, you'll find a fish bowl-like helmet and a tape recorder-like machine on one of the stands. This is a reference to the previous game Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice For All where Wendy Oldbag will be in a costume dressed as an alien like astronaut suit where those two pieces of costume are placed on the stand. Spoiler:Oldbag herself makes a cameo during the game's end credits in this costume.
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

On Azura's Coast, you can find a dead Redguard NPC called "Arlowe." On his body is a unique weapon called the "BanHammer." This is a reference to Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka, site creator of Something Awful, who was sometimes referred to as "R-Low" on the forums. The "BanHammer" was a common euphemism for someone getting banned from the forums.

The reference goes further in the Tribunal expansion. If you have the Mace of Slurring and go to Mournholds Museum of Artifacts, ask curator about the artifact and she will tell you, "It was crafted near the end of the Second Age by Kyanka, a slightly deranged Altmer weaponsmith and enchanter. He had a rather warped sense of humor, and apparently delighted at the thought of reducing opponents to a gibbering mess before crushing them to death."
Final Fantasy VII

Attachment In the 2012 PC re-release, using a Save Crystal in a specific screen of the Northern Cave will display the area name in the menu and save file as "Secret Cow Level". This is a reference to the Secret Cow Level in Diablo II.
Dragon Age: Origins

At one point in the game, The Warden can obtain a long sword named "Oathkeeper". The sword is described as a blessed blade commissioned by The Chantry and given to Templars as a reward for their deeds. It has been speculated that the sword is a homage to George R.R. Martin's book series "A Song of Ice and Fire", as the sword shares the same name as the sword given to Jaime Lannister by his father Tywin, which Jaime later passes to Brienne of Tarth who then names the sword. It is known that the book series was an inspiration during game development.
Dragon Age II

While in the Chantry, Bethany may mention that she misses Leliana telling stories in Lothering. Leliana was a possible companion and love interest in Dragon Age: Origins. The Warden first meets Leliana in a tavern in Lothering. Leliana also makes a cameo appearance at the end of Dragon Age 2.
Final Fantasy IX

The creature, Ragtime Mouse, is holding a card with an unanswered question on it. The card is in Japanese and reads "Pop Quiz! FF10's theme is GUTS! True or false?" This is the only time that a main Final Fantasy game has alluded to a future Final Fantasy game.
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time

In the cutscene involving the Plumber and Clank inside Clank's memory banks, the Plumber is trying to find a clog inside a large green pipe. When he tells Clank to jump in the pipe, Clank asks if the Plumber's coming too, to which he replies,"Plumbers don't just go diving down strange pipes all willy-nilly, that'd be ridiculous!" This statement, along with the green pipe, is a reference to the Mario Bros. series, and his affinity for using pipes for transportation.
Borderlands 2

There is a side mission in the Tiny Tina DLC called "Lost Souls." In the mission, the player helps an undead warrior by collecting souls at camp fires, just like in Dark Souls.
