A Kombat Kode (717-313) will display a message on-screen before beginning a fight which states: "RAIN CAN BE FOUND IN THE GRAVEYARD". As the ninja character Rain was only included in the game's coin-op arcade version as a prank by director Ed Boon, the Graveyard stage would have originally included rainy weather effects but was cut from the final release. This planned effect was able to be recreated after raindrop sprites were found in a 2023 source code leak.
