Super Pool III was originally designed as an erotic game. Consequently, in the Japanese version, the title screen features a bunny girl who gets gradually stripped down, while the player's opponent in each level will remove more of her clothes the better they perform. The international release removed almost all of these elements in order to secure a wider audience, with the exception of the bunny girl's accompanying voice clip on the title screen.
