If Jaws becomes idle for too long, a prompt and a timer will appear on-screen advising the player to move or Jaws will drown. This gameplay element draws from the fact that great white sharks are obligate ram ventilators, meaning that in order to breathe, they have to constantly move forward to allow water to flow through their gills.
