Terrence Suave, a minor background character seen only on portraits in the Henry Stickmin games "Infiltrating the Airship" and "Completing the Mission", is named in reference to the "Terry Suave" disguise from the 2002 film The Master of Disguise. Series creator PuffballsUnited revealed this in a live developer commentary of the game on Twitch, because he thought nobody got the reference.

On the Master Bounty Hunter path of Henry Stickmin: Completing the Mission, there is a choice to "Convert" an enemy guard by chanting "Wololo." This is a reference to the Age of Empires series, where Priests can convert enemy units using this method.
