Within the data of Chapters 2, 3, and 4 is a variable for the TP meter titled "shit," which is set to 1 whenever the global.tensionselect variable (used to indicate the amount of TP required to cast the currently selected spell) is uninitialized. Under these conditions, the game is programmed to play the recurring splat soundbyte. In Chapter 5, this variable is renamed "toylet." The purpose behind this variable is to bypass an issue where Game Maker crashes when trying to call a variable that hasn't been initialized yet; consequently, the "shit"/"toylet" variable serves as a means of highlighting such errors without disrupting gameplay.
