Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3

Two of the alternative costumes available for Naruto Uzumaki, a samurai outfit and Goku's uniform were based on illustrations by Masashi Kishimoto published in a Shonen Jump issue and an artbook. The two of them attracted producer Yuki Nishikawa who consulted other members from the company in order to include them in the game.

Mordecai's official profile on the Borderlands 2 website states that he is colorblind. Borderlands 2 lead writer, Anthony Burch, is also colorblind, and may be inspiration for this character trait.

Attachment To create an establishing visual look for the game's world that could compete with the likes of Star Wars' visual style, long smooth circular arcs were incorporated into all of the characters, aliens, ships, armor and weapons, and even the logo. The style was inspired by some of the artists working on the game, especially from the artwork by one of the game's artists, Syd Mead.

Because the previous generation of games couldn't achieve smooth polygons, this style was instrumental in convincing the public that Mass Effect was a real next-gen game.

According to Katsuhiro Harada, the game was released for the Xbox 360 because of fans requesting to have the game on different systems. This eventually led to the release of Tekken 3D: Prime Edition on the 3DS.

A lot of the game was inspired by the anime Casshern, with a heavy emphasis on speed for gameplay. The background visuals were initially influenced by the movie Tristan + Isolde, but the staff ended up using a personal style.

Attachment The inside cover artwork for the game was based on artist Olly Moss's art style of his homages to various franchises, however, the clouds in the artwork were taken directly from one of Moss's own pieces; from his Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back fan poster.

When Moss found out, he took to Twitter to express his disappointment, however, Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford, soon contacted him and apologized for the incident.

Ninjabread Man was originally developed to be a re-imagining of the classic Amiga title, Zool. Data Design Interactive had gained the rights to create the title using the Zool license, but after Zool's rights holders were left unimpressed with the work that had been made on the game, the licensing rights were revoked.

Ninjabread Man's reskins, Anubis II, Myth Makers: Trixie in Toyland, and Rock 'n' Roll Adventures all appear to be based on different levels from this pitch, as the first Zool featured candy, toy, and music levels, while Zool 2 featured an Egyptian level.

In previous titles, Nō's designs were based on a butterfly motif and the use of beautiful clothing. For the fourth game she was made to match Nobunaga's demon-like armor. However, due to the number of ideas coming in for Nobunaga's design, the finalized version of Nō's design had to wait until his were approved

Nobunaga's feather collar was added to emphasize his symbolic items in the series, which are black feathers. The collar was removed in later titles, however the feather motif was still maintained.

Onyx is likely based on Surtr, king of the fire giants in Norse mythology. During Ragnarok, the end of the world, the flames that Surtr brings forth engulf the entire world. Surtr's name also translates as "black", of which the word Onyx is a synonym.

The idea for the concept of the game came to the game's creator, Ryan Vandendyck, on how certain RPGs feature "the world coming to an end" and "there's a huge evil" storyline, but the people in the game just go about their business and not seem to care. Vandendyck thought that if the game's people knew about this, then they possibly would pitch in to help stop it. Vandendyck wanted the game's protagonist to recruit people but not fight battles and have the people do their dirty work for them, so he decided on making him a politician. To make him feel more useless, he decided to make the protagonist the Vice President.

Some of the game's influences were the games Suikoden, EarthBound, and Pokémon.

According to Eiji Anouma, Miyamoto got the idea of naming Mario from Marionette. Marionette is a puppet controlled from above with strings or wires. Miyamoto also made puppets during his days at school where he would display his puppets in front of the class.
Starship Titanic

Attachment The Starship Titanic novel, which was to tie-in with the game's release, was written in less than three weeks of its deadline. The book was originally intended to be written by someone else, based on an outline written by Adams, however, Adams later decided to write it himself. Though due to Adams's poor punctuality, the book was instead written by former Monty Python member Terry Jones, who also provided voice work for the game, who claimed that he wrote the novel whilst in the nude.
