In a 2024 documentary about the creation of Glover, Interactive Studios' founders Philip and Andrew Oliver revealed that Nintendo was interested in publishing the title, with Shigeru Miyamoto even suggesting to potentially rebrand it as a Mario spin-off game titled "Mario's Glove". However, this wouldn't come to fruition as talks fell apart with Hasbro Interactive.
