Inside the game's files are graphics from the Game Boy Color remake of Crystalis, which was released 5 months after Elite Forces. From the images, it appears that the title logo for the Crystalis remake would have resembled the original NES version, but the title screen used in the final product is completely different.

The most likely reason for the presence of these images in an unrelated game is because both games were developed by the same Nintendo subsidiary: Nintendo Software Technology.
