A Vampyre Story 2: A Bat's Tale was intended to be released in either 2009 or 2010, but has been delayed indefinitely due to budgetary contentions between Autumn Moon and Crimson Cow. This led to Bill Tiller conceiving a prequel game, which could not only give him a chance to continue working on the franchise independently, but also allowed him to fill in the backstory for the two main characters, Mona and Froderick.
