There is a hidden quest in the game that went undiscovered for almost half a year after the game was released. It involves jumping 50 times on a specific rock altar in the Emerald Graves region. Completion of the quest triggers a secret chest to spawn somewhere in the game world. The secret chest has since been found out to be in Emprise du Lion, down the stairway under Suledin, and contains a unique flower helmet named "Ardent Blossom".

Crestwood had a significantly different appearance in the PAX Prime 2013 demo than how it does in the final game. In the demo, Crestwood was as a vivid, thriving area filled with soldiers and castles. In the final game however, it's depicted as gloomy, rainy, and overrun with demons.
