Platform: Sega 32X

Attachment Shortly after the launch of the Sega 32X, Sega announced the Sega Neptune, which was a two-in-one console that would play both Sega Genesis and Sega 32X games. It was originally slated for a Fall 1995 release, but was later delayed to 1996 before being cancelled once Sega ceased production of the 32X.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

Attachment The only known concept art from the original scrapped version of the game is of "Plant Thing", a green deformed zombie-like creature. The sentence "Mother of 'kids'" is written next to it.
Shenmue II

Attachment Shenmue II was intended to be released on the Dreamcast in North America but it was cancelled and ended up being ported to the Xbox in both North America and Europe. However, the Dreamcast version was released in Japan and Europe.
Trip World

Attachment Sprites for Yacopu can be found on FDS development disks belonging to Sunsoft. This hints that the game was originally going to have a release on the Famicom Disk System.
Heroes of Might and Magic V

Attachment Before Ubisoft purchased the franchise, the game was being developed on the Heroes of Might and Magic IV engine by New World Computing. This version of the game was scrapped when publisher 3DO filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in mid-2003. In August of 2003, Ubisoft acquired the rights to the Might and Magic franchise for $1.3 million. Ubisoft gained access to NWC's assets and documents for the game, but it was decided to throw them away and create a completely new game using a 3D engine. Much of NWC's concept and in-game art can be found online.
Scarface: The World Is Yours

According to Vivendi Universal Games president Phil O'Neil, there were originally plans to make several sequels, with the hope that Scarface would become a "sustainable franchise brand".
Senran Kagura: Shoujo-tachi no Shinei

In 2012, Marvelous Entertainment announced a sequel that would replace the female ninjas with male ninjas, titled "Kagura: Aoaki no Shonentachi", and that plans for the game had started before the first Senran Kagura, but that it was rejected because the producers thought "it needed breasts to sell". They stated that the staff had continued to make the game in secret.

It was later revealed that the game was an April Fools joke.
Velvet Dark

Attachment A sister title for Perfect Dark was at one point planned called Velvet Dark. The title would've possibly starred Joanna Dark's sister, Velvet Dark, and was presumably for either the GameCube, or according to Gregg Mayles, possibly the Nintendo 64.
Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow

Attachment According to Oliver Wade a sequel to Maui Mallard was planned, some animations for the sequel were made, along with a new character line up for the game, but Disney wasn't interested in funding a sequel after the mediocre success of the original. Oliver doesn't remember what the story would have been other than that it would have involved zombies, pirates, plant people, and sea monkeys.

Mr. Gimmick

Attachment According to the July 1992 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, Mr.Gimmick was originally going to be released in the U.S. and was even reviewed, but sadly was never released.
James Bond 007: Licence to Kill

Attachment A port of the PC DOS version was to be released for the NES and developed by Tengen, however, it was never released. The game was not to be published by Domark, who published the other versions of the game, as they deemed it had been too much time since the release of the other versions.
Collection: A Boy and His Blob

A Boy and His Blob for the Wii was not publisher Majesco's first attempt at putting an A Boy and His Blob game out. Before the 2009 re-imagining of the 1989 game A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia, Majesco shelved two games in the series.

A Boy and His Blob: Jelly's Cosmic Adventure was planned for a release in 2002 on the Gameboy Advance and had completely changed visuals of the "boy" and Blobert according to the boxart.

Also, a 2005 sequel to the original was planned for release in the Nintendo DS, but was cancelled 20% into development.

Both of these games were cancelled due to financial trouble at Majesco.
Franchise: Mickey Mouse

According to Warren Spector, an Epic Mickey movie was proposed to Disney. A trailer, budget and a team were presented, but Disney turned it down.

The game was originally also going to be released for the Wii and Wii U consoles, however, due to multiple issues with the ports such as quality issues and lack of retailer support, they were canceled.
Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters

Double Helix was once working on a Justice League game that was based on a movie being developed by Mad Max director George Miller. However, both the movie and game were cancelled and the team was asked to make a game based on the upcoming Green Lantern movie.

Attachment In 1998, TranDirect Holding was planning to release a cartridge for the SNES to be used for online banking at home. The reason was because many households lacked a PC to do it from. The service was backed by Nintendo of America, and even would've come with a special SNES keyboard controller, however, it was never released.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Attachment Though the game was never released for Wii U, the system's logo can be found bunched with the rest of the system logos in the files for the game's official website. This hints that Sledgehammer Games, the subsidiary of ##Activision## that developed the game, originally planned to bring the game to Wii U.

There was originally going to be an Xbox 360 version of Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, but it was cancelled for unknown reasons.
Super Meat Boy

The developers wanted to release the game for Nintendo WiiWare, however due to Nintendo's 40 megabyte cap for WiiWare titles, they weren't able to reduce the game's size to fit. Content which would've had to be reduced was the music, to achieve the intended file size, however, the developers felt the tracks should be kept as they helped to provide an impact to the game.

The developers instead tried to find a publisher who would release a retail Wii version of the game, but the three biggest publishers said, "there's no money in third-party retail (on the Wii)".
