Attachment At the end of Nightmare mode, when viewing the newspaper confirming that Fazbear's Fright burns to the ground, it is possible to read the blurred text to the side, in which Scott Cawthon added trivia about developing the game, such as, "Fun fact: The names Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy were just nicknames while I worked on the characters. I was planning on giving them official names later but had grown very fond of them by the time the game was done."
Mortal Kombat X

Attachment Johnny Cage and Goro's intro sequences against each other reference the "Mortal Kombat" movie, wherein they fought each other in Shang Tsung's tournament.

When Goro starts his dialogue first, Johnny will jokingly ask Goro about the "sunglasses" that Goro owes him, referencing the scene in the movie just before their fight in which Goro crushes Johnny's $500 sunglasses as an intimidation tactic.

Johnny's intro has him reference Goro "heading for a fall", referencing Goro's demise in the film.

The mobile companion app for the game has several unlockable costumes that can be carried over to the main game itself upon being unlocked.

Among the many unlockable costumes in the mobile app is Scorpion's outfit from Injustice: Gods Among Us, as well as Jax's farmer outfit from Story mode and a classic costume for Kitana.

Green Arrow has a free downloadable costume based off of his depiction from the 2012 television series "Arrow."

Additionally when clad in this costume, Arrow's voice actor will change to Stephen Amell, his actor from the show.

Event 44: Mewtwo Strikes! is a reference to the first Pokemon movie, the main feature of which was titled "Mewtwo Strikes Back."

In the event the main objective is to K.O. Mewtwo without K.O.'ing Zelda, Mewtwo only appears 15 seconds into the battle.
Zelda also has a darker appearance in the event, which references how Nurse Joy, still under control by Mewtwo, disguises herself as the mystery woman in the movie.

Attachment An unused model of the Hydra from From Software's game Ninja Blade can be found in the game's data. It's registered as an object, as opposed to an enemy. No animation data is associated with it and it was likely meant for testing uses, not to actually be used in the final version of the game.

Attachment It's possible to find a secret flower in a pit, which when collected, gives E.T. an extra life. However, collecting 7 Recess Pieces, giving them to Elliot, collecting all three phone pieces, then finally locating and reviving the flower will cause it to transform into Yars from Yar's Revenge who will then fly away. Completing the game and then completing this process again will cause the flower to transform into Indiana Jones from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Completing the game for a third time and completing the process will cause the initials of Howard Scott Warshaw, who programmed all 3 of the games, to appear at the bottom of the screen.
