Occasionally Golden Freddy will appear at the door. But unlike his previous appearances, he does not attack the player or crash the game.

On rare occasions CAM 2 and CAM 10 will show posters of Springtrap, rather than the standard posters of Freddy.

Brightening the newspaper article shown at the end of Nightmare mode reveals what looks like Springtraps face in the background, suggesting that he may have survived the fire.

When booting up the game, there is a small chance to get one of 3 rare boot screens of Springtrap. Looking closer at Springtrap's face there seems to be 2 human eyeballs, a nose and a mouth, Spoiler:which are most likely the Purple Guy's. This is revealed toward the game's end.

It is possible to encounter Mangle in the game, as soon as the player encounters him on camera 4, he will peek out in front of the window.

At the end of Nightmare mode, when viewing the newspaper confirming that Fazbear's Fright burns to the ground, it is possible to read the blurred text to the side, in which Scott Cawthon added trivia about developing the game, such as, "Fun fact: The names Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy were just nicknames while I worked on the characters. I was planning on giving them official names later but had grown very fond of them by the time the game was done."

The animation for Springtrap moving in front of the office is cut off halfway down. The standalone file shows that his legs are stationary and were never meant to be seen.

A title card for a seventh night can be found in the game's files, even though there are only six nights accessible in-game.
