When spoken to, he will ask the player if they would like a Jelly Baby (a real-world gummy snack sold in the United Kingdom). This is a reference to the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. The show's protagonist is similarly known by the pseudonym "the Doctor" and travels around in a ship disguised as a blue police box; the Doctor's fourth incarnation dresses similarly to Marleybone and frequently offers Jelly Babies to others. Additionally, the Doctor's seventh incarnation is frequently nicknamed "Professor" by his traveling companion, Ace.
