Within the game's data are walking and portrait sprites for Sans, a character from Undertale, associated with the Wild East area. According to programmer Spasco, these are remnants of a cut Fun Value event where Sans could appear as a patron in the Wild East's saloon, attempting to sell his seat to Clover for 30 G, then 300 G, before walking away. The game's art book elaborated that this event was first added as an in-joke for playtesters. Despite Spasco's desire to keep it in the final game, the event was ultimately cut because "it would've raised too many questions and implications for the story." The art book additionally contains sketches for an alternate version of the event where Starlo appears, asking if Sans is bothering Clover before Sans decides to leave of his own accord.
