The bankruptcy screen from Theme Park is notoriously morbid, alluding to suicide by showing a shadowy figure (implied to be the player) jumping off of a windowsill as a funeral march plays, reflected off of a photo of their family, but then peeking back from the window, implying that they either had second thoughts after jumping or the floor they jumped off of was too low to kill them. The manual for the game describes bankruptcy as:


In the console ports of the game, the cutscene is swapped for a still image, lacking its tongue-in-cheek conclusion, making it completely appear as if the character has committed suicide. The SNES version adds a cartoon crying sound effect.
