Unlike the other villains of the Side Orsterra campaign, Tatloch (the main antagonist of the "Bestower of Power" storyline) does not die at the end of her storyline, instead being Spoiler:imprisoned by Queen Alaune much to her humiliation. When asked about this, scenario writer Kakunoshin Futsuzawa revealed that this was done due to his belief that having all of the Ringbearers die at the end of their respective storylines was too formulaic. He consulted with producer Hirohito Suzuki, who felt that his concerns were valid, and they decided to rewrite the final chapter of the storyline so that Tatloch would survive. Futsuzawa notes how despite arguing over what to do with the surviving Tatloch, he was glad to have rewritten it as it gave him a chance to portray Alaune in a positive light, believing that if she had chosen to execute Tatloch for being an enemy then she would have been no different from her father, Pardis III.
