Kid Klown in Night Mayor World was originally released in Japan as Mickey Mouse III: Yume Fuusen. However, because Capcom held exclusive rights to release games based on Disney properties outside of Japan, Kemco substantially retooled the game for its international localization, replacing the myriad of Disney characters with an original cast and remaking the title screen and cutscenes from scratch.
