Alien Soldier

Attachment An unused boss resembling a hand can be found in the game's data and can be fought in Stage 13 through hacking. This boss was featured in pre-release screenshots of the game, and was named "Love Penguin".

Seven Force, a boss from Gunstar Heroes that appears in this game as the boss of the Underground Mine stage, was originally intended to have two extra forms: Harpy Force and Nemesis Force. These forms were never finished due to time constraints, but voice clips of the game's announcer saying each form's name can be found in the Voice Test, and their idle sprites can be found in the game's data.
WWE 2K22
1
37 superstars featured in WWE 2K22 were no longer with WWE when the game released, many due to "budget cuts" by WWE during the game's development. Usually a released superstar would be removed from the game prior to it's release, however most were kept in the game because they were included in the initial submitted roster list that was approved by WWE. While superstars like Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, and Kalisto would still be in the game despite being released as early as April 2021, superstars such as Aleister Black, Ruby Riott, Bray Wyatt, and Adam Cole released later in the year would not be included in the game.

The decision to keep certain superstars ultimately came down to the relationship between them and the WWE, whether or not they were still on good terms.
WWE 2K22

Attachment Despite being mentioned in various promotional material for the game, the 2006 Royal Rumble match is not featured in WWE 2K22's Showcase mode.

Whether this was a mistake or it was originally planned to be included is unknown.
WWE 2K22
1
Attachment A scrapped graphic for a match between Rey Mysterio vs. Jushin Thunder Liger from WCW Starrcade 1996 can still be found in the game's code suggesting the match was originally meant to be featured in the game's Showcase mode focusing on Rey Mysterio's career. The match was likely scrapped due to licensing issues with Jushin Thunder Liger.

Although the match was scrapped; Jushin Thunder Liger's mask can still be found within the game's Create a Superstar, and WCW Starrcade 1996 Rey Mysterio was released as DLC.

Attachment In the files of WWE 2K22 can be found base dialogue and social media interactions for a scrapped female MyRISE storyline that would have seen Bray Wyatt possess Dana Brooke and turning her into “The Shiend”, to get revenge on his former associate Alexa Bliss. The storyline would have included a Hell In a Cell match between Alexa Bliss and "The Shiend", and a "Elimination Chamber of Horrors" match. A "Firefly Funhouse set" area can also be found in the game's files that would have presumably been used in some of this story's cutscenes.

This storyline was ultimately scrapped as Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) was released from WWE on July 31st, 2021 due to "budget cuts".
WWE 2K22
1
Attachment Although WWE had released Bray Wyatt on July 31st, 2021 due to "budget cuts" (8 months before the release of the game), it seems Visual Concepts had put significant work into him in WWE 2K22 before his release as new entrance motions, championship victory motions, and nameplates for both Bray Wyatt and The Fiend can be found in game.

The entrance motions can still be selected in Create an Entrance as "Funhouse Friend" and "Fiendish", while the championship victory motion is also listed in Create a Victory as "Fiendish" (though the "Fiendish" championship victory is listed twice in game, both motions are the exact same). The nameplates however are hidden in the game files.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale
1
The developers really wanted a character from Square Enix's Final Fantasy series to make an appearance, but Square Enix refused to loan their characters due to SuperBot being a relatively new team and the game they were developing being relatively new as well.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale
1
Lara Croft was planned for the game, but Eidos declined on the grounds that they had different plans for the character and her Tomb Raider series at the time, presumably leading into the series' 2013 reboot.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Sony tried to obtain the rights to use characters and assets from Activision IPs in the game, such as Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, but negotiations fell through when Activision offered a hefty price tag for them.
WeaponLord
1
The game was going to have an extensive training mode where players are taught the mechanics of the game--from simple weapon clashes all the way up to death combos. The mode was ultimately left out from the final game due to memory limitations and time constraints.
WeaponLord
1
The game was originally going to have a story mode which took place after the events narrated in arcade mode, but it was ultimately left out from the final game.
Tornado Outbreak
1
Attachment Enabling No-clipping mode in Chicken Con Carnage and heading back to the starting point of the map will reveal an unused spawn point for the L.O.A.D. STARR. Presumably, the level was intended to have two different zones.
Super Mario Strikers
1
In February 2022, a Twitter user datamined Super Mario Strikers to reveal several unused character models. The unused character models include:
• Generic Mario-style humans, and unused Donkey Kong-like characters (most likely suggesting that captains were going to have their own unique sidekicks themed after them).
• An early model for the Medic that resembles Dull Bones from Paper Mario.
• A Security Pianta that only appeared in the pre-release builds of the game.
A Goomba Guard that appears to be related to the cut stage "peach_palace"
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters

Attachment Within the game's data is an unused animation frame for Karai.
Tornado Outbreak

Attachment An unused audio clip from the level Showdown with Omegaton suggests that Nimbus was originally going to tell Zephyr to pummel Omegaton's gigantic kidneys.

Within the data for every version of the game is a semi-functionable no-clipping mode that allows the player to freely explore maps without being stunned by the sunlight. The mode can be enabled by changing the value from "weatherphase1" to "weatherphase0". No-clipping mode doesn't work on Roadside Destruction, the tutorial portion of Chicken Con Carnage, and Showdown with Omegaton. Additionally, the player won't be able to destroy objects that are within the sunlight.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
1
Attachment While New Horizons stands out from earlier games through the rebranding of male/female gender options as "styles," presumably to make the game more accessible for nonbinary audiences, the game still assigns hidden values to them that correspond to a gender binary. Specifically, picking the feminine style results in the player character bearing a dark stripe across their chest, apparently representing a bra. However, this cannot be seen in normal gameplay, as players of both styles wear a plain white tank top if they aren't wearing a shirt or a dress. At the time of the game's initial release, a glitch was present that allowed one to see the bra texture, but it's currently unknown if this can be replicated in later revisions of the game.
Deltarune

Within the data for Chapter 2 are unused animations for both Lancer and Rouxls Kaard where they transform into their respective Light World forms (a Jack of Spades card and a rules card) when entering the player's inventory. In typical gameplay, the associated code for these animations is deactivated, with Lancer & Rouxls simply sliding into Kris' sprite.
Tornado Outbreak

The Stone Stomper has two unused pouncing animations that were intended to play during the Stone Stomp tutorial segment in Carnival Carnival. The first one, being a regular pouncing animation and the second one being a cannonball pounce.
