On May 15, 2025, it was announced that TRIBE NINE would end service on November 27 of that year. All scheduled updates were cancelled (including the release of two new characters: Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba), and Akatsuki Games initially released a free, text-only version of the planned story content for Chapters 3, 4 and 5 in Japanese on July 10. The following month however, series creatives Kazutaka Kodaka, Shuhei Yamaguchi, and Katsunori Suginaka established the nonprofit doujin group Neoneon Tribe to unofficially continue the story after Chapter 5 through a web novel and other derivative projects with the blessings of Akatsuki Games.
