As a way of preventing the use of a cheat device like Game Genie, additional code was put in place to detect one. If the system discovers any sort of leftover data in its RAM and VRAM, the game will lock-up and display a gray screen. This was done due to the game being released as part of a contest run by MTV.

According to an unused file in Treasure Master, the game was originally going to have a Pizza Hut sponsorship alongside or before the MTV sponsorship.
