The game's concept is based on a dream journal of which Hiroko Nishikawa, a staff member at Asmik Ace Entertainment, had been keeping for a decade (1987-1997). It was later adapted as a collector's book for limited edition copies of LSD, containing excerpts from her dream journal entitled "Lovely Sweet Dream".
